It has a fun gameplay loop of research and building out you colony, the combat is really fun but is a bit odd sometimes and the randomness of the game (and sheer amount of quality mods) allows for almost endless replay value. However the "Zzzt" event exists, it killed my last colony. screw the Zzzt event
