Cyberpunk 2077 certainly had a rough start but I have say that I've only experienced a handful of bugs even in 1.0 and completed the game shortly after the first patch came out, doing all side quests (or so I thought), reading everything and talking to all characters as much and often as I could. I hated Johnny in the beginning and loved him in the end after taking my time to listen to him. Some world events were a bit too repetitive and it would have been better to have fewer, but overall still an okay mixture.
Yes, the game as a whole wasn't as great as expected, f.i. some content I saw in one of the many trailers was not released, so I get that many people were disappointed.
However, playing the game for the story, taking your time to explore and experiment was not just a fun thing to do but could occasionally unlock buildings in the city and grant access to (new) characters that many people have probably missed and rather complained about CP on plattforms such as YT than taking their time to dive deeper and not just scratch the surface.
The game had and has more to offer than many people claim(ed). The reason I know - I've missed them myself the first time playing the game, including the entire questline with Kerry, the hidden bar and escorts, only solved parts of the mystery surrounding the mayor, Cyberpsychosis etc.
Because I wondered about the other possibilities I did play through for a second time, used different skills, other dialogue options that lead to different quest endings and game end. Even started a third game, aiming at getting one of the bad endings and more dialogue options but I'll amdit that I've stopped halfway through as there was not as many new things to discover as expected.
The updates have fixed a few things that did bother me, added few more details and new content, so in its current state I'd say it's good enough to be played twice.
It may not be perfect or as great as The Witcher: Wild Hunt (MPO) but it can be recommended as a good game. Especially now, in 2022.
