[Almost 100% completion update]

8/10.

There are some really excellent aspects to this game: it's absolutely beautiful, the cut scenes and animations are top tier, the core gameplay loop is very satisfying, the story and characters are great fun. I stand by my initial rating if you're only looking to "win" the game, the downsides are more related to longer term play

There are also some areas that need some serious improvement:
- Harvesting and planting needs an automation. Later in the game when your fish needs are mostly met by your fish farm and you're just skipping time to grow your crops, you'll quickly grow tired of the farming process
- Why can you only increment seed purchases by 1? If there was an option to increment by 10 that would be really appreciated
- Sea People farm seems like kinda dead content. It's just so out of the way and inconvenient to visit in the late game, and doesn't really give anything worth enough to justify it
- GYAO! is some content that should have stayed in the brainstorming session. Because it has an achievement attached this was close to docking a half point from the total game score
- Harpoon gun feels like it needs another level of base damage upgrade. Especially when you're jumping straight to the glacial area you end up having to follow fish around hitting them 5 times
- It would be nice to see weapon stats without having already crafted the preceding weapon
