Early Access Review
The game is great and under active development. It seems a lot of people in these reviews don't understand how extremely early access works. Don't fret, Dev! Things are getting better with every update. You're doing great.

This is very simple.
It's like Warship Gunner 2 but it runs better and doesn't get fuzzy when you go super fast.
And you don't have to farm for cash money.
The existence of disabled or minority people doesn't make for politics. It's basically the same story as Warship Gunner 2 but instead of being "an officer of WW2 japan but in europe" you're "an officer of WW2 US but with less racism and the bridge is wheelchair accessible."
The extent of the "politics" I saw another review complain about is the existence of nonwhite and nonmale people. The villain (or at least one of them) is even a woman. It's not an issue, really.

It's goofier than Warship Gunner 2's campaign but not as goofy as the bonus missions. So we're not quite at Are-A-Ham-A-Key but we're close sometimes.
But it's a ton of fun. The special actions really bring the game to life, and most importantly IT HAS MODS.
The only things really missing from WG2 are playable carriers and submarines, and we'll get carriers as DLC if the game sells well enough.
Considering WG1 didn't have subs either, that seems a fair trade to me.
The game is super customizable with difficulty and you can tweak the colors and all of your ship to an insane degree. Grab the Extra Superstructure mod and just go ham with the extra deck space.

I cannot recommend this game enough. Seriously. It's goofy, it's fun, the story is skippable if you aren't interested, do yourself a favor and get this game. Play it. Beat it. Mod it. Show it to your friends. Beat your friends. Mod your frien-

Seriously, though. It's very good. I cannot recommend enough.

Game feels like a mix of Dark Souls 3 and Breath of the Wild.
And it really nails that, IMO.
Technical issues plague the release, but when working it really works.
I have confidence that most if not all of the technical issues will be resolved, and for those who are less plagued by those issues it's no contest. It's worth your time and money, if you've got both to spare.

It's Asteroids in roguelike form and it's amazing. It's pretty, the sound and music is awesome, the options and builds are varied and fantastic, and most of all?
It's fun!
It's smart fun, or dumb fun, or everything in between!
This game is ABSOLUTELY worth your time and money. Seriously!

I greatly enjoy Magic: The Gathering, and there are few better ways to enjoy it without spending a chunk of change.

After-action Report, February 1st, 2016.
Operation Fat Stacks

After encountering a wild Quetzocoatulus while on my way to a local obsidian cache, my primary goal became the subdual and capture of this beautiful beast. After retrieving the tamed scorpion from HQ with my mount's claws, we set after the beast. Between my darts and the sting of the scorpion, it only took us perhaps half an hour to track and down the mighty beast. Victory is ours, I though.

After surveying the crash site, I noticed that my quarry had found itself stuck upon a tree, far out of my sight. Clearing the local area of trees did little to correct my problem, and I found myself constructing a platform to reach the ever-floating giant. My first attempt resulted in my death, and after waking within HQ, I took our second flight-mount to recover and continue my efforts.

After returning to my soon-to-be-beloved Quetzal, we quickly came under attack by a number of sabrecats. In the mayhem, I retrieved my equipment, falling to their claws and bite.

With both flight mounts now stranded, alongside the scorpion, I was forced to sprint, naked and alone, through the deadly jungles and forests of the island, as our prey had led us all the way to the side of a mountain, some half of the island away!
I found Scarlet first. She was annoying a stegosaurus far from home and the base camp, it was truly blind luck that say us reunited. The scorpion came next, walking towards me in the dark. After some frantic searching, I came upon Chance, and the temporary base camp. But I didn't know if I was too late...

Unbelievably, I made it in time, with only three minutes to spare before the insects and general terribleness of the island rendered my equipment unsalvageable, doubtlessly eaten by the cave-dwelling creatures that always seem to contain something of (usually relatively low) value within their guts.
The Quetzal was long-gone, but with my equipment reclaimed and my companions collected, I cannot proclaim the very potentially catastrophic event a complete loss.

It's great fun. I recommend you play it on a TV with big picture, but it's one of the best coop games I've ever played.
