The game was everything I (mostly) wanted from an MMO.

Is it Korean, but not TOO korean (massive p2w, too anime and cartoonish, autoplay etc.) like for ex. Lost Ark.

I was having a BLAST first few months after release. Combat felt good, the PVP and guild aspects were well thought of (aside from alliances), grind was on spot, the only thing I was missing were practically just mounts (I dont really like the morph mechanic).

I was a member of one of the TOP hardcore PVP guilds in Europe, everything felt sooo goood, the drama, massive 300v300 fights on field bosses, sieges, it was really enjoyable experience. I never thought that PVP focused MMO would hook me so much. Beside lack of PvE content, I was fine with this apporach of an MMORPG.

That was until early January, that's where I stopped playing for a while.

Recently I came back, and oh boy, I can see why the playercount dropped so massively. Bad, bad decisions.

Developers started to listen to reddit crybabys, that already stopped playing MONTHS ago and will never come back to this game. And they only then started developing the things to "fix the game" for them. Don't get me wrong the game needs fixing, but it was pretty fine and enjoayble even for HC players.

It all started even before December, when people were arguing about field bosses being held in dungeons and guild with a player with top kills having and ability to turn on PvP in dungeons. That way, top guilds gatekeeped bosses. The developers chose the worst way possible to fix it - add portal outside the dungeon, so even if they use the ability (they can use once in a 12h), it was useless because they could get in from outside. Completely killing rewarding feeling of that ability and practically made it 50% more useless (aside from buffs you get). It could've been done better, not that lazy.

With that fixed, massive guilds started fighting for PvP field bosses. Imagine massive 300v300 fights where two alliances fight against each other, letting space for another massive alliance to join the fight and mess things up. Hardcore people enjoyed this experience, because they played 12h/day just to get better than usual players so they can use it in those fights, and get even more rewards. The game this way felt pretty rewarding for hardcore no-life players. As it should.

They, again, listened to casual community that didn't even want to attend those PvP bosses, so they re-worked it. No more big PvP, only 48-70vs48-70 guild fights through the portal, where you get matched to a random guild from random server and never see them again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No motivation, no drama, no rewarding feeling, no competition, no sense of grinding and be better on your server because noone will ever get to know/recognize your guild cuz being top guild means nothing now. The sense of alliances completey scrapped, alliances are useless beside from siege now. Completely wrong apporach.

Recent change - make guild bosses only twice a day.????? Nobody is playing it so making it only twice a day? another lazy "fix"? what about reading player feedback, a survey or something to see whats wrong, why nobody plays it? So in a PVP focused game you are slowly getting rid of all PVP? What's next? turning PvP in all modes off completely because people that dont even play this game anymore cried?

You lost your casual community, and thats fine, its hard to please 350k concurrent players with an MMO, it isnt for everyone, but you now lost your hardcore PvP community, which was the core of your game and this game is doomed to fail if you continue this way.

What could've been done:
Get rid of alliances, 280 people is way too much for semi-hardcore or casual guilds to also get some sweet loot and attend all activities.
Rework siege so it doesn't require 4 guilds (an alliance) to defend, but still is defendable with one guild (70 ppl) - smaller corridors, more "help" from the game, maybe golems on defender sides? idk, you are developers, you have massive teams of game designers that can design monetization mechanics that are CRAAAZY, why not game design?
Don't listen to casuals that already stopped playing.

Btw. those people that cried over PvP massive guild field bosses are now still attending peace boss portals, if they even still play. They don't go to dominion or GvG portal, because those are empty:) Nice work.

I really loved this game, and I still do, but developers are heading the wrong way, AGS ruined it, NCSoft followed. This game could be huge, instead it died because of greedy developers trying to please everyone at the same time, and in the end pleasing noone and making them all leave, yet again.

TL;DR - Game is worth trying, if it even lives and matchmakes you to dungs etc. by the time you are reading and getting ready to play it - but developers don't care about your opinion, only about your money. From a very good PvP MMORPG for hardcore and semi-hardcore PvP players it is now bland, empty and boring PvE experience that prepares you for PvP that doesn't even exist anymore in this game.

Great game, awesome atmosphere, fun to play, satysfying combat, incredible port. Always wished to play this game on PC, glad it made it's way here. Played for 11 hours, completed first main quest so far, stuck on interesting sidequests and side activities of which I can't get enough.

Love this game.

I hope they'll make Ghost of Tsushima 2 with more co-op/online features. (:

Najväčšiu výčitku by som dal asi combatu.

No optimalizácia je taktiež celkom nahovno a povedzme si, hra nevyzerá nejak "extremne užasne", taký average.

Napriek tomu si hranie tejto hry veľmi užívam, niesom ešte na konci no robím každý sidequest, hlavný quest, každé DLC a všetko čo mi príde pod ruku.

Early Access Review
Game has a good start, let's say the main competitor is Tarkov, because it is, so I will compare it to Tarkov.

+ I really like the UI improvements, it's such a relief to know how to navigate, to see the UX laws used in the game genre like this is
+ Graphics are insane, it is so beautiful, the lighting, the vegetation, they truly used the UE5 potential here
+ For only 2 years of development, it is awesome how much work they did
+ Seamless exfil without loading, server matching, loading loot etc. etc. is such a MUST HAVE in the game like this - it's much better experience for me to not be stuck in loading screen for 15 minutes after every raid
+ Map is a huge plus

Cons:
- I'm not sure I like the faction system, seems pointless and limiting to me
- Optimization is horrible at this state of the game, but that's something that can be surely fixed, it just needs more baking
- In a looter game the only loot is keys, ammo, weapons parts and food? Seems like a joke honestly, I know it's just a start but no point looting anything except quest items...
- Sounds and gunplay seems a bit arcade-y, I miss the hardcore aspect to it
- AI are just dumb and not challenging at all
- I don't really like the logic about for example the starting location, everything is opened and looted because other players were there already, every container, it really needs a better work/logic behind it

This game has a solid foundation and can be built upon that. I really hope they don't give up on it and it can be a good competitor to Tarkov one day, bud sadly, this isn't the time and game needs more baking. Refunding for now but will surely buy in a year-two, when they game is finished and (IF) better.

Good luck devs!

Unoptimized and buggy at launch, as any other game in 2023, pisses me off and got tired of it already.

Going from fairly good pay 2 play model to the worst F2P model. In Overwatch 1 you could earn a lootbox for every new level, yes, you had to BUY the game and it also had microtransactions, but it was kinda rewarding, so nobody really minded it that much. You got every hero on release, we've got archives, anniversary, new year, halloween events etc. with special cosmetics etc etc. It was FINE. Could be better but it was fine.

They brought Overwatch 2 out of nowhere, and it is nonsense. The worst F2P model for a customer/player I've seen. You don't get coins back from battlepass, skins cost 20€+ and they are a lot of times just recolors of base char model (example junker queen skins) - look what LoL 20€ skins can get you, those skins CHANGE THE WHOLE MAP, or VALORANT skins for 25€, you get insane finisher with special music, effects, sound effects for a gun, incredible visuals etc....You have to BUY BATTLEPASS TO GET NEW HERO or reach level 55 which is insanely high for a casual player.

The new comp mode push is ♥♥♥♥. I hate playing it more than I did playing 2CP which they removed. It's boring, and the new flashpoint isn't better...

So yeah, overwatch 2, made cuz of PvE, new engine, yay... The time comes.. and we got... Archives 2.0? 3 missions for 15€, don't get me wrong, you also get 1000 Coins for a battlepass, oh, unless you bought it on steam, you get nothing if you buy it from steam, it just takes your money and support doesn't answer for 21 hours. Very exciting.

Overall the missions just seem like recycled content, shrinked to minimum and just released with words "well, it is done somehow, lets just grab some money from it instead of scrapping it entirely" and it is exactly how it feels to play or how does it look. 1 hour of gameplay for those 3 missions, ugly battlepass skins, ugly expensive shop skins, ♥♥♥♥'s just hilarious.

I loved this game, I loved this game so much, the lore, the characters, cinematics, the idea, friends i've made along the way... But Blizzard killed their own game, such a shame.

I just hope Riot Games somewhere out there makes Overwatch clone and they will 100% succeed, because that's how you take care of your games blizz, take notes, idiots.
