Easily my favorite game of 2015.

The most detailed open world game to grace your screen. It's absolutely gorgeous and you'll often catch yourself just admiring the beautiful city and the reflections of it off the water at night. You'll watch the beautiful yet small amusement park on the pier just watching the lights animate. You'll want to walk around the suburbs looking at the beautiful graffti. It feels like every area of the city has its own story to tell. I have 200+ hours logged and I still love just driving around in the mountains and looking at the city from afar. It's just so beautiful. I can not praise this game's attention to detail enough.

Rockstar managed to turn their reputation around after the god awful GTAIV port with GTAV. It's impeccable. Runs solid, great options and again it's a looker. There are a few bugs with it, mostly related to the raw mouse input which sucks, but otherwise a++.

It's true that the online experience isn't stellar, however I haven't even bothered with public lobbies anyways. It's better experienced with friends rather than trying to deal with people who are going to drive around in their Kuruma and be pricks and shoot at you. Hardly fun. When you stick with friends it becomes a lot more fun and enjoyable. If you don't have friends who own GTAV then it may not be worth your time to bother with the game.

The single player experience is great. A lot of memorable characters such as Lamar who is hilarious. Rockstar continues their trend of dark tone writing but it's a lot brighter than GTAIV's story. I loved Franklin the most but all the characters are great.

This is easily my weakest review but it should come as little surprise to anyone who knows me. I love Grand Theft Auto. It's my favorite series.

Sue me.
