Bought this exclusively for the wood texture lol

It looked deceptively bad the first time I saw it in-game, so I almost refunded.
Turns out it was just the worst possible lighting and settings that specific time.

Rest of the stuff is pretty neat too, I like the cosmetics.

I do feel like there should be a scuffed non-dlc wood texture though, but eh.
If they weren't busy with the sequel now, I'd suggest more wood textures. Mossy or somethin'.

There's a whole game here once you get past the rage. Very fun to try to master.

fantastic platforming, very snappy and responsive :D
the fighting can feel a bit unresponsive in comparison, but still great (especially since movement is involved)

feels a lot like if hollow knight was 3D (so of course also like hollow knight's inspirations)

love the look, very goofy yet cool vibe. also you can have big pants if you want, which i think looks badass

All in all, pretty good, but can feel a bit empty and unfinished in places.

A leading innovator in survival game design.

Filled to the brim with stupid decisions, but that is merely a byproduct of hard and focused early access work.
The kinks will be ironed out. Maybe wait till then :)

Or don't! I've had eons of fun since the Plains were the end)

big fun

Tutorial part can be overwhelming with all the signs in one place, but at least there are none in the rest of the game.

A great example of what happens when you polish a very simple concept to the extreme

Tests are pretty solid. Not brain dead easy, but easy, and look good.
Unique mechanics are cool.

Story is a bit confused. It's nice enough, and keeps you immersed.
I really don't like the ending though. . It's very clearly emulating Glados and Wheatley's dynamic, without fully understanding it.
Wheatley is revealed to literally be the biggest idiot possible by design, after ego tripping, and very clearly having evil tendencies.
Stirling, while yes, eventually trying to kill you, is just doing what he thinks is best. It's not clear whether he knows or understands what Glados did. Suddenly it's revealed he was originally a vacuum cleaner, and Emilia brutally dehumanizes him.
So what if he was? This just feels like an underdog story where you'd root for Stirling, but nope. You defeat him, and Emilia doesn't care at all what just happened. No remorse or second thoughts, just worry about what happens next.

Either, make him a proper villain; Make him not care for human life, or make him value fixing the facility above all else, despite any attempts at convincing.
Or, keep him semi innocent, and make Emilia sorry for having to kill him.
Or I guess lean into Emilia being oddly heartless.

This just feels empty and inhuman.
