No servers. Was fun for a while, but suddently with the new server slection options (filther) i can´t find ANY servers

Im also quite disspointed that there still are no tanks in the game. Only the bmp.
The resistance (antistasi) gamemode needs work, i´ve been playing it a lot, but there are no obvious difficulty options and the gamemode barely features any helicopters or apc´s. Actually i´ve only found a single helicopter so far, which was stuck in the side of a building, bugged out.

Come on bohemia. The systems are awesome, finish what you´ve started

I commend No Mans Sky for their brave action to redeem themselves. Its muuch harder to redeem a lost reputation than it is to break it. It only takes one misstep. Appearently they have managed to avoid any such missteps since their blunder of a launch.

As a gamer, I deeply appreciate their work. It's nothing short of amazing that they were able to pull this off

No man´s sky however is not a game for me. Not since i gave it 2nd and 3rd chances. It just isn´t a game for me, because when i play a game i think i personally want a very handcrafted journey and story. No man´s sky is different, as it is a game where you make your own story. The game time you put in, is mainly spent gathering materials, leveling up your stuff and making strategic desicions.

I will endorse this game despite that personal prefference, as it has redeemed itself many times over. To the point that even the most stubborn players have to praise it :)

If you love crafting, upgrading, exploring, base building and making your own story. I recommend this game to you

Actual review:
Game is enormously hard. But is is less hard than sitiing through a normal bland run of the mill AAA game for 80 hours. This one should not take you longer than 24 ingame hours to complete. And the experience is amazing.

Excellent game worthy of all manner of praise. The only thing is that i dont get the main story. What are the fingers, what is grace? What is the golden order? Why do i care?

It was much easier to grasp dark souls story, i wish that this game showed us a bit more.

Otherwise, one of the best games ever made

Initially I loved the game. I still play it, but its getting old and its filling up with toxic russians and annoying kids. I´d recommend finding a newer title like valorant, pubg, overwatch or the like to get gud at pvp and enjoy time, without all the cheaters and bs :)

One of the most enjoyable city builder experiences out there. The game gets progressively harder, and despite it seeming simple, maybe even shallow at first. It has great debth beneath.

Keeping water from drying up is a big threat, but its not the only one. You could forget to grow your population and suddenly end up with an aging population that either is less than it was, or barely holds up.

You could mismanage your work priority or production and end up not producing enough food. You could acidentally pump up all your remaining water reserves and watch your crops die. You could forget to reopen your dam and watch your city get flooded for days. You could even use too many ressources on a building and find that you can´t grow more wood, cause you didn´t build a foresting lodge.

This game has so many emergent features and threats that all depends on your personal skill as a leader. It is very easy to learn, it took me about 1 hour, but it is a never ending citybuilding and micromanaging journey to master.

I recommend playing the tutorial, its 10 mins. And then restarting the map, you´ll build better the second time :)

Overall score: 9.5/10
No game can hold me captivated anymore, but this game managed to do so for 10 hours, without me even scratching the surface.

HOW IT USED TO BE (old review):
Prepare for good moments and a huge bunch of toxic mentally 12 year olds who can´t play the game very well, but whom will tell you that you suck at the game 24/7 while reporting you :)

UPDATE (new review):
The community has gotten better with the implementation of new systems. Nice people are matched together. Bad people are matched together. Bad behavior is punished more harshly. So now I can play the game, mostly without being abused by toxic people :)
Upgrade!

Overall its a great game. Allthough the grind feels harder and less rewarding than it did in shadow of mordor. Im pretty sure its because it takes a lot of work to get a good orc, and then they often just go die right after you used hours. It has way more features than shadow of mordor did though and the world feels very alive compared to most other games i have played in the past, thanks to the nemesis system.

REVIEW SUMMARY:

Gameplay: 7/10
(Basically a less vibrant Warhammer 2 experience with more map-types)

Graphics: 3/10
(Everything looks grainy on ultra settings, but can be "helped" with FXAA settings)

Performance: 1/10
(The game will crash, bugs will happen and everything looks ugly on ultra with bad fps on top of that)

Story: 5/10
(It´s not that interresting, but its not bad either)

REASONING:

The really bad:
- Abysmal graphics and performance. It´s just sloppy work, to not have polished the game before release. Graphics at ultra
high settings looks grainy and blurry, at high settings it looks like Medieval 2 total war on low settings.
- Unit rosters have too few unit options to make it interresting. Slanesh is a good example of a really boring unit roster.
There are 2 or 3 interresting units in the whole roster, whereas Warhammer 1 had like 7 interresting units in the dwarves
roster etc.
- New menu setup for no reason what so ever. It´s not as good as Warhammer 2 and its confusing.
- Bugs everywhere, units will get stuck, performance drops will happen for no appearent reason.
- The game will and can crash on you

The good:
- More interresting battle maps with bridges, camps and better sieges. Everything else gameplay-wise is the same as
Warhammer 2, which is also kind of a good thing.

How to salvage the game if you can´t refund it:
- To lower performance issues, force launch the game with directX 11, by writing "-force - dx11" in the steam options
- Use FXAA settings for anti-aliasing, FAA will make everything blurry.
- For now nation choices that are interresting is probably only the Ogres, Kislev and Grand Cathay, every other nation lacks
interresting unit choices.

My plans concerning the games future:
I refunded the game, I could not stand it. Even after learning how i could fix it, it just seemed much less sandbox-like and much less polished and interresting than Warhammer 2. If the game gets anywhere near as good as Warhammer 2 in the future, with more interresting unit types for Chaos and performance improvements, including sharper graphics. I will rebuy the game and have fun. Right now though, it´s not worth neither my money nor my time, i´m seriously dissapointed and if this trend continues i won´t buy any new SEGA games. We gotta vote with our money, and when companies think they can just release unifinished games like that, they need to be taught that this is a bad idea. I´d recommend refunding if you have allready bought it. Don´t play it if you have it, but don´t like it. It will teach SEGA that players are unhappy, as playtime drops.

Expect to get raped by other players for the first 300 hours of gameplay. There will be major ups and downs allong the way, you will meet plenty of cheaters whom cannot be defeated by any other means than a report.
But once you hit that 300 hour mark, you will start winning, you will make your own stories take matters into your own hands and make history (on the server). Wether you are the roleplaying type, the adventuror, the dungeon delwer, the mad scientist or the PVP fanatic rust has something for you. Anything can happen in rust.
