Spent my entire time playing with randoms and its been an absolute blast. Was a lil rough around the start, but the game builds up as you go. Win or lose, you're earning upgrades. While real meta upgrades are a bit lacking, What you do earn gives plenty of space for build ideas. The only issue with upgrades I have is not enough slots.

A recent patch has solved alot of issues. From solo being inconceivably hard and incredibly hard to self sustain, to the Traversal and mantling massively improved. Climbing feels alot more natural and alot less tedious.

My only real gripes are a need for more bosses, unique weapons/ spells and possible modes. The other issue is remembrance matchmaking; because unless you have friends you're gonna be waiting a lifetime to get 2 other players for the same remembrance and boss.

This game had a very rough start (though part of me misses the old difficulty.) After a bunch of updates and dlc it's leveled out to a very, very fun experience with friends. If you got some buddies that like a challenge, and find this game on discount, snag it. BUT LET ME BE CLEAR. This game is not left for dead, it borrows ideas from left for dead and in many ways warframes. You build out a deck so that you can custom craft your own play style. You can then pick a character with their own custom perks to further build out how you want to play.

Saddly this game is going out of service, so the most you can really do then is play with friend instead of matchmaking. It's a good game regardless of what most of the people hating on it will say. diamond in the rough that could have used just a bit more polish. The dlc is definitely my favorite part. It's a shame we didn't get more of this game.

When this game was in its prime it was an adventure. The community was it's crown jewel and the difficulty and combat mechanics were it's flag ship. No game could compare at the time, but that was 2010. Fast forward to 2023 and this game is just another cash grab using sex as it's last ditch effort to pull a crowd. I can't say this game is worth it, you're about 6 years too late to get any meaningful experience.

35 hours in and I still have no idea how to get a hyper drive.
Also found a planet that rains boiling water.

10\10 No idea what I'm doing and I'm loving it.

Step 1: Grab some friends that own the game.
Step 2: Run the first mission with high levels of hype.
Step 3: Explain to your team why shooting the group of sleepy lads in the corner is a bad idea.
Step 4: Watch you're entire team die because one smartass did it anyway.
Step 5: Run with bots n try your luck.

Glowsticks\10 would rave in a dark room full of sleepers again.

I've had to start over 3 times. I don't know what is wrong with this game's servers or if it's corrupting local files. All I do know is I no longer have any desire to play this game at this point.

Lets make this quick.

Music choice is awful. its either spanish music (which is fine, just not constantly.) or its trash new era rap.
Your character dresses like an idiot, and the choices you get to dress them with aren't exactly any better. The story isn't all that great (from what I've played, but then again its a need for speed game, so it's probably not all that interesting to begin with.)
Your side kick looks like they stopped modeling her hair half way through, so she has a billboard five-head that shines brighter than america's future. The graphics are interesting to say the least. Not bad, but at the same time everything is overly glossy. The driving pads out rather well with multiple ways to drift for different occasions. The ai is surprisingly aggressive when it comes to trying to knock you out the race.

The biggest flaw is server issues, My game has restarted a total of 3 times. losing every car and all story progress. There is no definite way to keep this from happening. Just cross your fingers and hope that the game's opening cinematic does not play.

Been playing this game for half a year, and good god is it fun. join the official discord and mod it to your hearts content.

I don't really do reviews but I'll toss this one out there just to give people a heads up.

Graphics - ok : Could be much better, but not much to really complain about.

Combat - good : In contrast to the last game, there's been a good few changes.

Story - lack luster at best : Alot of reading and less fighting for mission mode, and the main story was rather dull till the final fight.

Overview - The game felt rushed and a bit bare. The fact that there's only one unluckable character and a large portion of missing cast, I'm getting tekken 7 ptsd where all the characters are going to have to be purchased instead of won. The story mode didn't feel like there was much effort put in other than a few painted pictures and 3-4 (if I remember right) short animated scenes. The combat works though it feels like it lost a bit of complexity. The few new characters such as geralt, groh and the cultist are fine additions and play well with they're own specific play styles.

My thoughts - The game could be so much more. It feels like a rushed out the door cashgrab. Sure some parts are nice here and there, but it feels outweighed by the lack content. Heading back to soul calibur 2, character creation had a point. There were special custom character weapons that added individuality to each creation. The weapons weren't repeats of the characters in the base game.

TD;LR
Game suffering from Tekken (buy instead of unlock) syndrome Certainly ain't great, but it isn't ba either. Wait for this game to be on sale.

Would get my wings blown off again.
