An awesome 2d RPG it improves on a lot of what made the Castlevania Advance games great.

Every company puts out a bad game at some point, and this is Amplitude's

09/23
It took a LONG time, but the game is actually worth playing now. It takes more of what felt right from the Endless series and fixed several of the bugs that were present. The war score/war support system has also improved from launch and don't end up with consistent endless wars despite occupying cities and destroying enemy armies left and right.

I don't think this ended up being the Civ Killer it was expected to be but it is no longer a broken mess. The balance seems heavily skewed to production civs above the others, but that often feels like the meta in many 4x games.

Early Access Review
It's worth watching, but not really worth playing yet. The idea is great, but it is riddled with bugs. I had enemies not take damage unless it was from flamethrowers, and units that got caught on EVERYTHING. I lost 2 squads to getting stuck in the ocean and refusing to move. The pathfinding overall is the worse I've seen in a while. Units will run into a wall and stop instead of going to an opening in the wall.

Worth checking back in a year to hopefully a much better game. Also another game that needs a "meh/maybe" instead of a yes or no.

Edit 02/24/2022

The pathing issues have been fixed, and a lot more functionality and ease of access were added to make the interface better. All of the bugs I previously encountered are gone too. The game has made a lot of progress and has become very enjoyable. I look forward to it improving more.

I had high hopes for this and bought it ages ago and watched it evolve, but it still doesn't feel complete. The movement still manages to be jumpyand skips randomly. If I can play all of my game library on Ultra with no issues this game shouldn't be a problem, but it is. The combat also feels pretty bland both rts and third person. I'd probably hold of on the review if it was still EA, but they released it and mention releasing DLC then possible moving to Legends of Ellaria 2. That's a huge letdown and I regret buying this.

I enjoyed the game the stories were interesting and the quests weren't repetitive like most games. Some of the travel issues were more annoying than anything (sometimes being forced to another side of the world, others having to hoof it from place to place). Saw a few glitches where I got stuck in terrain and needed to reboot, or fell through the map.

This was a beta and was interesting but too frustratingly buggy to complete the game. If it released in this state I would be asking for a refund. I am hoping it is delayed until 2022 to get everything fixed and the balancing more ironed out. I expect the game to eventually be really good as I have loved the "Endless" series.

Better than a lot of the reviews indicate. Not sure if it is just massive improvements overtime, but I experienced 2 crashes in about 28 hours of play. The lack of a timer is different but not a negative, it means I can could come back to anything at any point and explore and deal with things as I wanted. The biggest downside is the lack of GOOD psychopaths. No elaborate cutscenes to show them in the act not all that much weirdness to them. The Capcom Heroes mode was interesting, but requires too much collecting to unlock everyone. Overall the game is worth playing but DR3 was EASILY BETTER.
