It's great, gameplay feels much smoother, visuals are much better, mechanics are less clunky. It's just an improvement of the first game all around. A lot of the negative reviews are extremely misinformed people that are mad about their 6 million skin collection not being ported over in a game that has existed for a decade. They give you back all of the gems you had in the first game as legacy gems. You can use the legacy gems to fully buy smite 1 stuff that gets added. And ontop of it if you don't want to use those gems for the smite 1 stuff you can buy smite 2 content half price with it. That's way more generous than they needed to be. So it's just proof that people can't be pleased. Try the game for yourself when it's free access.

Fantastic tower defense/RTS hybrid game. Hope they support the steam deck in the future, because it would be the perfect game to play on a handheld. Either way I can easily see sinking tons of hours into this.

Play Deep Rock Galactic instead.....or hell even Vermintide 2. Just don't waste time on this one.

A legitimately amazing game that deserves way more love than it is getting right now.

Long and short of things, there are a lot of negative reviews and they are around 2 things one of these are legitimate, the other not so much. 1 performance, which is a legitimate concern, in central hubs the games FPS and popin for NPCs breaks the overall immersion of the game. Hopefully that can be addressed by future patches. The other common complaint is with the customization of your character. A lot of people seem to erroneously think that they only way you can do it is by purchasing an item from the online store for 2 dollars. However, within quite literally the first 30 minutes of the game when you get to the main city there is an NPC that sells this item to you for a small amount of in-game currency. If the complaint is that they shouldn't be selling these items in the first place, then I sincerely hope none of these people gave Monster Hunter World a positive review, as it is monetized IDENTICALLY to this game.

Sony does it again. Don't worry Arrowhead, you made a great game, it's not your fault.

Such a good game, and huge potential to be an actual Monster Hunter competitor. And somehow they ♥♥♥♥ it up by having the worst performance I've ever seen on a game that looks last gen. How does it run this badly?
