Renai X Royale

Great game for heroine to shine with decent writing and conclusion to the story.

Firstly, this is my third ASA Project game I played so far and the game still delivered the same joys and laughter that I had all these times. I glad they still doing the comedy tropes in their visual novel and this one have it's interesting changes compared to previous title I played.

Secondly, I will only briefly tell the synopsis of the game because I don't want to spoil the reader too hard. The story starts off by main character suddenly meet a new transfer student who suddenly confessed to him that she love him. Due to confusion of the main character doesn't know about the transfer student info just by first day meet up, he rather stop the confession and want to find the truth about her confession. Other than the transfer student, the main character has his obsession on idols, accidentally fell in love with student council present and having a bro-con sister who always chase for him to come to his challenges daily life scenarios. Therefore this created a war between the girls chasing against one main character as his lover.

Now for the changes, ASA Project always delivered 4th wall jokes and characters that never fail me to laugh harder. But their are some flaws as this title was going to almost the same idea as their first released of the visual novel, Sankaku Renai. This story also gives variety routes as not just main heroines we can go through their routes, but side characters as well in between the main heroines routes.

For the story wise, its actually gotten better than previous title Koikari for me at least. Reason is that Koikari forced reader to have some conflict and drama between main heroines. These are the good points but for my taste it's too serious in the plot. The struggle of main character in previous game is harder than current one due to the after graduation thoughts and responsibilities. The current one really focus on the romance genre which is really good for vanilla fans. There are some conflict in this game but still tolerable for reader accept the fact one heroine win against other one. Asa Project always delivered a good drama scenes in their visual novel since Sankaku Renai released but Renai X Royale is vanilla version of it. But I recommend readers to try out Sankaku Renai first then play this game later because it's ASA Project first game which you can judge their differences in term of story writing improvement.

For the artsyles and scenes, it's really decent at least for me. Not bad or better but it's alright for me. I mostly love their 18+ scenes and I have no criticism against their arts. Enjoyable and clean.

For the OST, it's really good and some character's theme is my favorite in the game. Some are mostly decent OST and some are shine differently than others. But truth to be told, I still think Yuzusoft delivered a better OST in comparison. Some OSTs are funny and some even bring sadness and relieved on some scenes. Mediocre at best for me.

For my review, the game is really nice and I love reading, tho there are some recommendation that I would like to give to the reader. Firstly, try to avoid to play transfer student route at first play. You can play any main heroines route first except transfer student route, but leave that route to your final route of the game. I always the type who leave the main poster girl route at last so that I can either know how the story goes. And at the end, It's really good. I won't spoil much from here but that is my recommendation. I give this game 10/10. PLEASE RELEASE GIVE AO ROUTE, I love her :').
