I couldn't enjoy this game no matter how much I tried to. I absolutely love the original ME series, but this just seems to take my least favourite game play mechanics from them and make it into the main event. It reminds me of DA:I where its all about roaming around empty worlds for 10 minutes to do various time sink activities. It certainly had some highlights, I like the new characters and the ship designs, but honestly can't bring myself to open this game again knowing I have another 10 minutes to drive in a boring snowy tundra to get to an objective I have already done 3 times before.

Saying that the moon quest was quite similar, however ME1 was also released 9 years before this game so they had time to improve on the system, not make it worse like they did. But I do agree Mako rides were not the best part of ME1, the lift scenes were :)

@Happy Time Harry I get what you are saying, but ME1 was point to point for individual objectives: Going to the Lab, Finding Survivors. They were mostly individual and always had something to keep you interested while driving. Having to detour 10 minutes to do the same thing three times in a row for the sake of completing a quest is annoying, grindy and a time sink.

A lot of ME1 was roaming planets in the Mako to find secrets. Could definitely spend more than 10 minutes just trying to find a pirate base over and around mountains.
