Wrath of the Ancients is a good example of an expansion sized DLC : a new storyline, several full star systems, a BUNCH of new equipment, even a new loot quality (upgradable too), some nice boss fights.

It is slighty pricey, and there are peformance issues in some places, but overall it is very pleasant, much better than Titans.
If you enjoyed the base game, I recommend Wrath of the Ancients.

Underspace is a great idea, but it lacks proper execution.

The game does not stop when using menus (map, ship details, etc) - and I mean menus that takes the whole screen, so you do not see your ship - so you will end up far from the objective or even crash into objects. Oh, and the autopilot does not stop the ship when reaching destination, too. Seriously.

After the initial campaign mission (easy, as it should be) the difficulty jumps through the roof. Pirate groups will spam missiles, and missiles are extremely overpowered - very fast, very powerful, guided, area of effect. Can not dodge them, can not counter them. Good luck achieving any progression.

I could go on with the questionable controls or lack of information about important gameplay elements (how do you unlock skills ?), but you get the idea. The game works from a technical standpoint, but it is not enjoyable.

Honestly I can recommend this title until some serious work is done.

Since I managed to solve the technical issues, I changed my mind about this game.
It is really beautiful, has excellent gameplay - deeper than the first Horizon - and story.

I just wish it was not released in a state were the default graphics settings make the game crash.
Yes, you read correctly : the DEFAULT SETTINGS do no work. Seriously.

At last the performance is very good, better than expected even.

Spacebourne 2 is a very ambitious game, attempting to mix space combat, ground combat, exploration and RPG elements (levels, stats, perks...).

Space combat and flying mechanics are simple, quite similar to Rebel Galaxy Outlaw but the difficulty is noticeably easier.
Ground combat has also simple mechanics, but the difficulty is a higher due to the number of enemies.

It has both procedural - a LOT of procedural content - and unique content. There is a main storyline (which you can leave anytime), several guilds offering varying missions (kill, protect, destroy...) and activities such as mining (on foot or drone) and scanning systems with probes to discover hidden objects. You can go at any planet, choose among many landing sites and find a lot of things to fight, loot or salvage. You can even use a hoverbike !

The game is made by a very small team, so it is not flawless (it is EA, so there are bugs and unfinished content), but after playing though the beta for countless hours, I can attest their reactivity and commitment to the game. Given the game potential, and stunning low price, I warmly recommend Spacebourne 2.

About Early Access :
This is quite impressive. The game is fully playable, and even include complete modding tools.
I know some full releases which are worse. Not sure what is the end goal, but the game receives frequent updates,

About the game :
This is an open world space RPG, heavily inspired by EvE online, except it is designed for single player.
It offers deep gameplay with complete freedom in a large universe, filled by many competing factions. In Astrox, you command a ship rather than fly it - well you can do that but it is not the best option in most of the cases.

You can either play a "campaign" of sorts - I do not know if any storyline is planned but I have not seen one, so it seems just a fixed galaxy right now - or a *highly* customizable sandbox start.

Graphics and music are just passable, but these are clearly not the main focus of this title.

I can not recommend enough Astrox Imperium to anyone - unless you can not play without cutting edge GFX - who loves open world space games.

About Early Access : the game is not quite complete yet, but has received many updates, so I trust the devs will finish it.
I did not found major bugs, mostly minor texts issues. The game achieve a high framerate, but stutters when loading new assets.

About the game : this is an unusual cross between a space capital ship and a text adventure game, like Starpoint Gemini and FTL had a child. The combat is very interesting, quite tactical, although the targets have no distance indicator - by far my biggest gripe with this title. The adventure part will let you take many important choices which can impact both your ship performance and the storyline.

BTS has a signifcant learning curve, the early game can be unforgiving. While it has a sort of tutorial, it is far from exhaustive, and there is next to no documentation (for now).

Still, BTS is a very promising title, especially if you are into capital ship warfare, I would warmly recommend it.

A bit baffled by the number of negative reviews for this game, so I decided to write my own.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is pretty much a modern version of Privateer, where you are a space fighter pilot free to do as she wants (mining, trading, mission running etc). It has interesting combat mechanics, immersive characters, excellent music and atmosphere, rewarding exploration, lots of content.

Of course, it is not perfect : the controls and interface are designed for consoles, and take time to get used. The difficulty is noticeably high, I really would have liked difficulty settings.

Still, this is a very good game that I would happily recommend to space fighters fans.

About Early Access :
A bit more chaotic than usual, but I guess chaos is a 2020 thing. Still, the devs communicate a lot, and delivered the full game after a short delay, so it is good experience overall.

About the game :
For the most part, it is a open ended space sim in the vein of Freelancer, although you will get eventually the opportunity to buy and fly a capital ship (not exactly like the previous SPG, though).

The game is pretty, but short, except for the significant amount of money grinding.
The universe feels small and shallow, few places and factions and even less that matter.
The AI sometimes feels like cheating, like turning instantly, or very quickly for some capitals.

Overall it is not a bad game, but it clearly lacks ambition. So I would recommend it only to player who are space addicts.

The final DLC for SPG Warlords.
This is a separate campaign, aimed at experienced players.
An epic story of David vs Goliath, full of surprises and challenges.
Some very, very sexy looking ships at well.

This DLC focuses on replayability, with new factions and a new, challenging map (***not*** an extended map).
Numibia has some very nice looking ships and headquarters as well.

This is a good buy if you like the base game and have finished at least one playthrough.
