One of the most bittersweet experiences I've had in years. Certain parts are a massive improvement over payday 2 like the new stealth system and overall changes to how police act, but other aspects of the game that worked effectively for its decade old predecessor such as responsive UI, incredibly simple lobby searching through crimenet, detailed information for your stats and weapons, a great leveling system (although easier to abuse for cheaters), and the ability to play on your own has been horribly butchered. The servers issues on launch were quite frustrating but will obviously be fixed soon, I'm not sure the review bombing here is justified. I'm certainly going to keep playing the game as the basic loop of popping helmets and yeeting bags is still enjoyable, more content (+ hopefully reworks) will come in good time but for now the lads and I will continue playing on the zip line and throwing grenades at hostages. Easily worth $40 when the server issues are fully resolved.
