This is literally the worst gacha game I have ever played in my entire life, and I hate gacha games with a passion. Everything wrong with pay to win games like World of Tanks and War Thunder is exemplified in this game's systems, on top of having a ton of 'noob trap' options in the game.

Much like the previously mentioned games, GBO has levels for your gear.

For example, you can get various Mobile Suits at different levels. You would think getting say, Sazabi Level 4 would be a great thing, right? No, it's actually terrible, since that suit is meant for playing in a score rating much lower, but because you got the level 4 version, it's rating is 100-200 points higher than what it actually is, with only paltry stat buffs being given by the higher levels. You are intentionally gimping your team by playing these suits, as they are not strong enough to handle 'Level 1' suits of the appropriate ranking.

On top of this, the game's controls are clunky and bad. They aren't complicated to understand, and the game provides tutorials for most of the movement and combat mechanics, but everything about the game feels awful to move around in...

Except if you're playing as the 'Raid Suits'. The game has some stupid rock-paper-scissors style system with Support, General, and Raid classes. None of that matters though, since if you aren't playing a raid suit (or a general suit that just functions like a raid suit) you've already lost. Raid suits have incredible mobility, ranged stun weapons (often bazookas or lasers for even easier aiming), and the ability to melee combo. Melee combos are the number one way to get a kill in this game because it stuns your opponent for 5+ seconds, allowing you to follow up with another slow melee attack that also will knock them down for an additional several seconds of stun.

This problem is pervasive across all levels of suit, but apparently isn't as bad in the toppest tier (700) but apparently that tier is terrible anyway since it just becomes beamspam. Even all the way down in 300 you will find yourself getting shot once by a mech called the Efreet (the sweaty tryhard unit of choice for that rating, from what a veteran player told me) and then dashed into by it, and locked into a 6000+ damage melee combo. Your suits in this rating generally have around 10-14k health, so you are guaranteed to die. Gundam Evolution is another dead Gundam game that suffered from this exact same issue with the Zaku 2 Melee, the Exia, and the Barbatos mechs absolutely dominating every single match for similar reasons.

I'm not even going to discuss support suits or general suits since most of them are useless, but at least they sometimes have cool guns. You won't get to use them for their intended purposes though, as almost every single Raid suit also has abilities that allow them to ignore hit stun as long as they are dashing/using high speed movement. So the one way you actually have to try and slow them down simply doesn't work.

Avoid this game. ♥♥♥♥ on this game. Don't let anyone convince you it is worth playing, it's not. The community at least acknowledges that Raid suits are a problem but don't seem to care all that much, as the game is pretty dead already, having gone from over 100k players to under 5k in just a week or so.
