It is hard for me to say I "don't like the game" as a whole. I have been playing CIV since the beginning and each time they change something, it irks me until I get used to the new method. I will say though, I wish there was a way to play a more classic mode if you wanted to. Here are things I am not overly fond of:

1) Each age (and it only seems to be 3 before a win happens) resets the world. So if you were invading, you lost almost everything you built up. If you were being invaded, they all disappear. So that just brings your momentum to a staggering halt.

2) If you start playing Roman, you have to play a different type even if you want to still play as Augustus. So you're Caesar playing as Spain. Etc.....not a huge fan of that right now but it does force you to learn new units which is a plus in a way.

3) They got rid of the game going on forever if you should want to win or lose. I want to destroy the entire planet which is not overly possible (at least for me). Also I get to unlock airplanes and nukes but the game ends before you are able to really use them. Either by you winning or if you try NOT to win they will. Either way, I don't get a chance to use that stuff really because the game ends.

4) Where is WORKSHOP so it can be modded. After playing a little bit with the games look, I want Middle Earth, Star Wars, etc feel to the game. I hope that will be released with this.

The long and short of it, is the new game play if short and with the eras make the game choppy. But still fun. Just not hours and hours of fun because it is over quick. I paid for the Founders Edition. Not to sure if I think that was overly worth it, but the basic game price you wont be horribly disappointed.

I will say the graphics are great and I still enjoy playing CIV. But until it gets a few more upgrades or add-ons put in, I will more than likely reinstall CIV 6 for now.
