Absolutely stunning and thought-provoking campaign combined with an endlessly fun multiplayer that took Call of Duty to its peak for the last time during 2019 and skyrocketing during the 2020 pandemic with the release of Warzone 1. It's tragic that the franchise won't be seeing the same care and passion this release got any time soon. Despite the game being 5 years old as of writing, it hasn't aged a day and remains to be Infinity Ward's magnum opus, and Modern Warfare's gunplay, visuals, and overall feel fail to be replicated even by the same developers who birthed it.

While the price tag is criminal for a game that's been out this long, it's a steal when it goes on sale with the amount of content on offer. The player base is still thriving and with the re-release on Xbox Game Pass on the horizon, nostalgia for the game will be at an all-time high reeling in more players. I wholeheartedly recommend this game.
