A very solid take on the ARPG/diablo clone genre. It does enough different that it really feels like a breath of fresh air in the moment to moment gameplay compared to its contemporaries. Weapons sound beefying feel very satisfying to use with some flashy effects and a very well done corpse and environmental destruction system. The campaign is very long and there are side quest campaigns that are roughly the same length. All together it took me almost 50 hours to beat without touching any events, endgame or repeatable modes.

While the core game is excellent, I have one major grievance and a minor criticism. This game is made on a custom engine, and boy does it show. This performs like it came out in 2018, but it looks like it came out in 2009. The worst offender is the "frame blending" option which is necessary to get the game running at any reasonable frame rate. This option makes characters look blurry, artifacted and out of focus. If you can swallow the sub par graphics, you'll find an excellent game underneath. My second minor issue with the game is that its simply priced too high for what it is. This game is not a AAA game, and it should not be priced as such. Luckily the game can be found at steep discount on various sites and steam itself. I bought this game for roughly 8 USD, and I think it could reasonably be worth more to most. 7.5/10
