Not gonna lie, this and Honkai Star Rail are the best f2p releases of this year! The story is insanely engaging, especially for a free title. I adore this dark fantasy (clearly inspired by divinity franchise as well as ofc, D&D) setting as well as, obviously, gameplay made around it. Its a heavily D&D campaigns inspired (you throw virtual dices quite often here both d4 and d21) crpg with autobattler combat mechanics. On the first sight, its a combination that should not work well, especially how many autobattler aingleplayer games both in pc and mobile spaces turns out to be tremendously flat and boring. Here however, i enjoyed it. Although its still far from the best (maybe thats because i dont feel this type of gameplay much engaging in singleplayer titles), i like summoning ult skills manually as well as set up a formation for each single fight (as enemies pattern vary as well as, something that i never seen in this type of games, you can get ambushed and you have to adapt). Also there is a small resource management element, in form of option to use potions before fight (which is rare in this type of free titles, when the fights are separated by a tiny loading screen, from exploration part).

And thats from the good part, the other are not terrible, but they are not great either. Lets start with exploration. The maps feel extremely linear and the world doesnt feel alive (which is arguable because this game really tries to emulate D&D campaigns and you can really show up with narrator, clearly inspired from gamemasters in d&d playthroughs and in paper rpgs in general its almost impossible to make world feel alive at all time, without making 20 minute long exposition dumps after few turns), i also dont many outside of the main game screens, with upgrade one in general, but its a common thing in many f2p titles like this and its also personal, but for me they feel a bit too raid shadow legends-esque in bad way also upgrade system is quite simmilar to that game as well.

Overall, however, i have a lot of fun in this game as more of the side title to boot up every once in the while, its well made for all types of sessions from short to more longer ones, so that also a big plus as i dont really want to hop into all of the games with mindset that i have to spend 45+ minutes and this gives the game a big advantage. Its not a title for everyone (especially for those who hate grind and those who like to beat the game asap), but if you are more open minded, i guarantee, you're going to have tons of fun in it!
