Early Access Review
One of the funnest expieriences I've had in 6 years, I'm 17.

OH BUT THE RAIL CANNONS CAN GO ♥♥♥♥ A HOLE IN A TREE.
Seriously though, not even going to play the game till this ♥♥♥♥ is fixed. Game's boring now.

List of Fixes NEEDED:
Fix the turning, so many times have I BARELY had a wheel go up a pixel and I start doing 360s for no reason, and no, I don't just have steering wheels, I learned my lesson.

Plasma and Rail cannon is OP in all accounts.
UPDATE:
It was "fixed" but they still do WAY too much, or at least the plasma does, Rail's are decent.

So many people use Tier 6 weapons in Tier 1-5. Armor is a whole nother matter and is fine, Weapons on the other hand is incredibly inconsistant and very non-newbie friendly.

In some areas of the map I can fall and be stuck, and there's also bridges that for whatever reason, have the collision detection a bit to high.

I get next to nothing in terms of money in order to buy what I need, I need to basically be a Tier 3 to survive Tier 2, and for Tier 3 and I need to be a tier 4.

However, Tier 4 I need to be a tier 6 in order to survive. And not getting the amount of money NECESSARY to play the game for longer than a minute makes the game QUICKLY boring.

Basically, have smaller tiers like Tier 1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and so on.
This'll keep really good players or extremely strong weapons and armor from being with people who are just starting out.

Why do you put people that have lower tiers together on the same team, but then have people with higher tiers together on the same team and have them fight each other? It gives the other team a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ distinct advantage don't you think?
Literally, 80% of my losses now are because my team is so underpowered while the other team is overpowered.
This is basic gaming Multiplayer 101 guys, have it be mixed or random, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fixed.

This game isn't easy to play, I don't suggest playing this unless you have alot of time on your hands.

Pretty good game, but it's another E.A. game released too early, too many glaring bugs, the game feels the same as when I got it in v0.03, just better.

Still tho, good game, worth the money, just don't like it being released too early.

(If you don't want to read here's a video of the review, using this review as the script.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZGu5CsZDXw&feature=youtu.be

I've always wanted RE4 for PC, especially on steam, and when I saw there would be a HD port of it I got excited.

It's at an affordable, perfect price of 19.99 which is a first for capcom.

Controls:
The Good.

Same as the PC port years ago, slight changes however when it comes to some things, and QTE.

They work well, and have a few new buttons now.

The Bad.
The mouse controls from the original PC release were unusable, You HAD to use a controller to do ♥♥♥♥.

In here, they've fixed it... But added something dumb... -.-
If you turn your mouse and aim it'll do a small quick turn. THIS KILLS AIMING SO HARD.
I understand Capcom, you're still learning how to do PC stuff, but here's a tip, NO ONE WANTS ANYTHING EXTRA TO THE MOUSE BUT MOVE MOUSE TO AIM.

The new QTE is horrible in these controls for one fairly obvious reason.
The first QTE you get is the boulder.

Spam X
Mouse 1 + Mouse 2
First off, you have to SPAM the X button, so I'm going to move my right hand to the X button, as I'm obviously not left handed, and even if I was, the problem would still exist.

I have to move my right hand over to the mouse in 1 second otherwise I'm screwed, NEVER DO THIS AGAIN.

How to fix it?
Have the buttons be closer to each other.

Spam X
A + D

Other than this, these are minor problems, not nitpicks, minor, problems.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Porting Job
Resident Evil 4
The original PC port was horrible, I was only able to play it with a controller, and there would be very few, but still existant, FPS drops.
Other than that it worked okay.
Resident Evil 5
You can't play this in DX11, You have to play it at DX9 other wise it crashes after 10 minutes. The controls were okay, and the FPS was moderate.
It was a bad port because of Live, and because of minor problems.
Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6 proves that Capcom is learning their lesson in a couple of spots, one of them is a shining example is the porting job.
This was a near PERFECT port and really made me like Capcom a little more.
The only problems I ever ran into was the saving not working, and having to do additonal work, sometimes even lose all my progress.
Resident Evil 4 HD
Great port, so far it's working out with few problems.
What's the few problems?
No audio option in the options menu.
Is this a joke? Or am I not looking hard enough, the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loud and I can't turn down the audio from within the game? Ugh.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sound Quality

I can never tell the difference between sound quality, so, it's good I guess.

And finally
~~~~~~~
Graphics
I have alot to talk about here.
The Good
It looks like it was made in 2007 rather than 2005 I guess...
The Bad
Looks next to nothing different from the orginal.
There's a few texture buffs, and a few "Upresed" textures, but that's honestly it.
Everything looks the same, now this wouldn't be a problem if the game wasn't called "HD"
The PC port was in 720 which is HD aswell. So it's not the resolution that's making it "HD."
The only slightly noticable "HD" part of this is actually on some weapons, and if I wasn't paying attention to the SD vs HD updates, I wouldn't have even NOTICED
If any, and I mean ANY ONE says that the game looks higher quality and that justifies HD, nothing in here is in HD in the first place, but.
There's already been an HD mod for the original Port years ago.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/resident-evil-4-hd
Wow, no seriously, wow, looking at this again, It shows Capcom's lazieness. This not only gave even HIGHER RES upgrades when compared to the "HD" port, but it also gave things a higher polygon count. The pistol has additional work put towards it. This was a FAN project years ago, and looks better than this "HD" port, and Capcom is getting PAID for this.
No one can seriously stare at me for 10 seconds without laughing after they say: ...
What is there to say, RE4HD is not in HD,
There exist out of place textures, and floating blood on stuff that's not even from an enemy and was added by developers.
(If this review is over a year old you might need to scroll down a bit)
Final verdict.
Considering I never cared about HD and only cared about Vsync and 60 FPS, this was perfect.
The game is only 20 dollars (NEVER CHANGE THIS UNLESS TO MAKE IT CHEAPER)
The only thing I asked for from this game is: 1080P, 60FPS, and a good port.
I got all 3, while the "HD" Part is a full on lie and even false advertising due to not even 1 texture being in HD and only slightly upgraded SD, I can safely say you'll get your money's worth. The minor problems I bring up are just that.
Minor, which for me at least, means can be ignored, and won't affect much.
Final Review
9.8/10
Reasons:
If the game was actual HD, and if the minor problems were fixed, this port would get a 10/10, here's hoping to updates!
It was a negative review, because this port is absolutely terrible. But now that Volition has gone under, and after seeing the behind-the-scenes of the attempt to update the port that Flippy posted about, I'm shooting my shot, changing the review as it's the only thing one can realistically do in this situation. This is a compromise of morals for me. The point stands however:
If there's Any Chance this port can get updated and made into something worthwhile, if we can get this game running as intended on PC, it's worth the shot. Make no mistake however, this current port is beyond the worst way to preserve such a beloved, cultural icon.
We value cultural hits far less than ever before. I doubt Apex Legends will ever have the staying power this game does. Even despite it's established and known poor performance, 12 friends have this game, people are still learning secrets and posting content about Saint's Row 2, I'm learning to mod both Saint's Row 1 and 2 because I'm still interested. I can't stress enough, this game has importance in various aspects, the total lack of even decent preservation has been only telling and a long time frustration for nearly 2 decades. All anyone wants anymore, is a port that runs good, and doesn't crash. We'll figure out DLC on our own at this point. It's not even about having the best port, it's just A Playable Port. One with Steam-multiplayer.
Whoever owns this IP and source code now, there is no guarantee sales will make it worth it, I can't buy this game again for myself or most of my friends. But at the very least, a last hurrah, a reason for a new audience of youths to try this experience out, for all the work people put in to get the port started, finding the source code, the sheer effort IdolNinja put in, the hopes of the community, continue the work, or the dream with new effort. Otherwise, this is it. There will never be a good ending to the volition saga, to Saint's Row. I'm accepting of changing the IP to something else at this point, but preserve where it came from. At the least, let the source code out, let the community continue the work themselves.
If the original 2 games are truly moved on from, I don't want them to remain memories, but new experiences I can have, not just with myself, but anyone I want to share it with, who wants to share it with me. Nobody wants a reality where "I'll be back" or "88 miles per hour" can't be re-experienced or even viewed correctly. Nobody wants that to slip through cultural verbiage and experience.
Very fun, I'd give it a go if you've got notthing to do. Also free, so no excuse not to try playing it.
Keep in mind Quests are incredibly helpful when it comes to Rupees, Ziny and EXP.
Talk to people alot, and give it a long play, don't just stop and say: OH IT WUS ADEQUITE, actually play for a long time. You'll like it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if so.
