Please don't give these amateur devs any money or attention, this game is literally terrible as you launch it.
Avoid this garbage.

Most unique horror game to come out in a very long time.

This came from an era where you'd have multiple games thanks to Xbox's cheap arcade-indie selection, which gave you a variety of small games to play back to back. A time when you didn't have a library filled with 10s to 100s of big budget titles, but small ones occasionally published by some big publisher, and tons of really good demos. Anyone remember Deadblock? Did you know it has an abandonware non-functioning PC port? Cool stuff, wish it got a GoG release sometime.

No-one's playing this game these days, there's one cool dude who's hosting servers and mod guides, so you'll be playing with bots more than likely. Which is fine, this is a good time killer if you're just wanting something different from any MP based games these days, but thanks to them you can easily join their server with friends and play without the hassle of set-up.

The very nature of this game is fun, it's fun stealing fame or items from people fleeing you, it's fun chasing people through what quickly becomes a series of obstacle courses or this game's version of FPS combat, I like changing weapons for what's "hot" over what's "not" I adore having to piss and ♥♥♥♥, sleep and eat, genuinely the way this game functions feels like it would do so well today if done right with a big marketing budget. Of it's time, but a classic formula that desired more to it to take off effectively, even as a smaller budget title.

There's no pressure to play the game aggressively. As in, you can flub around without considering XP boosts or marketable item drops or some currency- nah you just play the game and it's very chill. There's no rank system and since the game's pretty simple, likely anyone can pick up and play it. The Healthy, kind of game design that doesn't have an addiction expert frying your enjoyment of art for microtransactions.

It's worth mentioning the engine for this, is Source Engine, the Half-Life 2 engine to be clear, and the updates it's received and this game not receiving updates in 2 decades, means there's some minor graphical bugs. Face poses are broken at time, some effects are a bit busted, the map is 1/4th usable. Text is real small at higher resolutions like 2-4k. None of it's drastic enough to flub the game entirely though.

Still good to this day. 5$ is a good price for it. Ask Neocranium to play it or something.

Removed the ability to mod, and to change/modify your saves. Way to ♥♥♥♥ the consumer.

Save keeps corrupting.
Not worth putting time into this.

Even then, it adds problems to an engine that's been around for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years.
How do you ♥♥♥♥ up reversals?

Alot of people are having problems with this game, or at least were.

From a "legally" obtained copy, I played for a while and had few issues;

Random crash when breaking a GEO symbol while in Item World.

SSAO was broken;
It's fixed now after an update but seriously, the difference is negligible and completely ignorable.
Yes, it needed to be fixed and it's a problem they have no excuse to have missed.
But the outcry about it was pathetic. Again, I'm not saying they have a good reason, or that no one should give a ♥♥♥♥, quite the opposite, just saying it's hardly an issue.

That was it.

Many were having problems FPS and such, and those who were, were on a GTX 980Ti.
I, never experienced this though.

PC controls are ♥♥♥♥, get literally, any controller.
by that I mean modern console controllers

The buttons they have use 1-10 rather than whatever controller you're using.
So instead of A B X Y/shapes you have 12345678

The controls on the controller aren't even finished believe it or not.

What I mean is, you wanna zoom out? well you have to use Square/X and Left trigger!
Rather than just using left bumper or trigger...

Yeah, this was ported from the PSP supposedly, if so they certainly did upgrade alot. Or just used assets from the PS2 version, like they should've ported anyways.

Nothing new. PSP ♥♥♥♥'s not in here, DS ♥♥♥♥'s also not in here.
There's new drawings n stuff, not for spirtes, that's fine, but the UI is terrible. It looks like someone spent 20 minutes in Paint.net and said "IT LOOKS CLEAN SO IT IS" It fits the game like a small ball in a square hole. Oh sure it went in, but it's not a square.

"Just use the old option in settings"

This uses the old blurry drawings though. The GUI looks like it was squeezed into a small box for 2 months, then pulled out and slapped in. it's scaled horridly, basically.



There is new voice acting, but the only one to absolutely frustrate me to no bounds was Etna's.

Maybe it's a new voice actor, but this is the worst acting having nothing to do with what's going on I've ever heard.

And you know something, the voice acting, it's good, really good, the voice actor fits Etna very well.

"So why's it bad?"

It sounds like the VA was either reading the entire script from the ending to the top, or was emailed the lines to take, never played Disgaea, never saw disgaea, nor had someone to tell her "this is how you emote this scene"

It's like she was blind to the entire situation that the story and her character took place in. It's so out of place.

If you disagree, then you've no doubt got 0 idea on how voice acting works. As a voice actor myself, this ♥♥♥♥, is wildly unnacceptable. The old Etna voice actually fit the scene, there was clear direction. She had someone give her some damn context.

The new one has 0 direction and sounds like out of context lines slapped into context while not fitting it at all.
And that's to no fault of the actor. It sounds like she's putting her best in there, but has no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what's going on.


The game's great, very grindy, it's a "banned to an island for the rest of eternity and this is all you have to play" game.

If you have ♥♥♥♥ to do, get Cheat Engine. Other wise, enjoy the great characters.




Port: 8/10
Replace the confused actor with one who was actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥' directed.
Make the new GUI fit in/make there be an option for (fixed) old gui and new drawings.
Fix, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥, mouse controls. Also give me the ability to remove mouse cursor.
Finish the controls in general.

Game: 8/10
Too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grinding with not enough shortcuts that won't result in a slightly faster mindless grinding.
Everything else is something I'd call the beginning of greatness, but the peak of it as well.

This is honestly a damnly well made game.

It's not too pushy with money while be F2P, but I wish you'd get what you paid for when you do.
20$ gets you literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Even the highest amount, 150$ gets you a few shiny vidjah game objects.

Seriously, just have a one time 60$ charge that'll basically make you premium of some sort, and make all the things possible.

Regardless, it's a fun game, community is hard to hate since playing the game, it's hard to have douche-bags.

Smoothest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls you'll ever feel, I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around either. Also one of the BEST Optimized PC games I've ever witness, literally, a constant 150fps throughout the entire game, it's glorious.

Get this, it's worth it, trust me, it's space as ♥♥♥♥, and confusing a tiny bit at first, but it's well worth the initial Hentai esq Hymen breakage.

Really digging this game.
It's really cheap, for a good reason, it's engine is limited, it's controls stiff, and it's resolution small.

If I wasn't tired, I'd keep playing it. It's worth the 1$ in an extreme degree.

Abandoned so they could work on the PS4 version.
