TL;DR: Starts really slow, but once you get past the beginning of fighting the same old monsters except for one new one, it's amazingly good

An absolute masterpiece of an expansion that multiplies the content and gives some actual difficulty to the end-game, but unfortunately starts really really slow.

New mechanics are all fine and cool, new switch skills, the switch skill swap, the new marionette spider and all the such, but unfortunately as an HBG main, the new switch skills feel a little useless. Setting up a little shooting base feels alright but I don't tend to get to stay there much, and I don't want to keep swapping back and forth between skill sets. But I've heard mostly good things about the other weapons' new skills
Of course, Master Ranks bring a lot of new depth into build optimization, and new fashion choices are always a really good thing to bring more of. Personally I've gotten to change around my build a lot, and to think over and optimize my decorations and armor sets a lot, which is one of my favorite parts

The worst part has to be the early start of the expansion, where you get to fight one new monster, and then it's some hours of doing the same stuff you've already done before you actually get to new stuff. They definitely should have spread the new monsters a little more evenly, especially since once you reach the new monsters, you'll get a lot of them at the same exact time. But, after you do reach that, it's all golden, all of the new monsters are really good additions and I adore most of them. Astalos is a really cool fight, Sergios is fun, and Malzeno delivered everything I wanted from my new favorite monster design, and more.

I've read some reviews and noticed a lot of people seem to have crashing issues, which I don't but is definitely something to take into consideration before you buy it

I'd easily recommend this if you liked Rise, again, I'm very stingy with my money, but haven't regretted paying full price for a second. This expansion made Rise become my favorite game of all time, taking out the spot from Fallout New Vegas that was my favorite since it released in 2010
9.9/10, have to snip a little from how dull the early parts were
