Fun game overall. Does feature some Rogue-lite features of spending gold to get forever upgrades, items per run that are randomized, as well as some skills for each character that forever upgrade that specific character. Some differences is that you play the full family of the Bergsons. It was fun to me to swap characters, going from archer to monk to dagger-wielding rogue, seeing them all upgrade each other via the purchases at the blacksmith and the family upgrades via the skills.

The levels design seem fun enough but repetitive. The combat can be intense (with some bosses definitely better than others), while going through the hallways can feel grindy overall. The skill system seems to give the illusion of choice, but there is just not enough skill points to go around to really make it feel like it matters.

I'd rank this game a 7.5. Good for people looking for another enjoyable take on rogue-likes with better story than we're used to. Not so recommended for RPG players looking for a deeper story or Dark Soul-like players looking for deep combat mechanics.

Early Access Review
This game is quite fun and different than the similar games. It has some of the aspects of granular deck building like Slay The Spire, minimal animal laning like Clash Royale, but somehow combines it into a unique enough package to keep me interested. While the amount of content in this Early Access game is pretty minimal, it has had enough for me to want to try out a variety of builds, grow from hardly surviving normal difficulty to having a 50% win rate on Very Hard, to also now logging in every day to see the daily updates. The developers are Japanese, but the updates are in good enough English as well as frequenty enough to be worth a game or two a day.

if you liked Slay the Spire, are willing to help a developer build up a game with a lot of potential, and are willing to deal with some okay at best translations, this game is well worth the money
