Overall, this game seems to have potential. The melee system is super fun, especially overhead attacks with an axe, but there is no real reason to kill the zombies. You can relatively easily outpace the zombies and not have to worry about killing them. However... If you DO kill them, be prepared for the zombie to spawn right back in as soon as you walk more than 5 metres away.

The resource management is pretty solid overall using the backpack mechanic. The weapon placement is okay, but the weapons break so easily that its not really worth trying to kill zombies as you'll need to scrounge for more weapons.

The story wasn't too compelling, as in, I didn't even bother going for it from the start due to how the game introduces the story. It just doesn't seem interesting.

Overall, I'd recommend this game if there was more substance than just run around and kill zombies, grab more weapons, kill more zombies.

This is a perfectly playable and capable game. It works... The map is massive, the character creation and weapon modification is super in depth, which I love.. The graphics are fine. Certainly not BFV levels, but it's pretty and scenic.

The main problem is the game is super empty and bland. A couple times around the block and you've seen it all. It's the same idea from the first 20 minutes of the game, as the rest of the 20-hours of the game. There is nothing special or innovative about this game.

You'll be doing the same thing for 20+ hours. The story isn't at all interesting or one that hooks the player in. Its an okay game if you're just wanting to drive or run around, shoot a bunch of people, evade the military, and just turn your brain off. Personally, I would not recommend this game at full price by any means, but if you want a cheap game to muck about in, get this one on sale.

Overall, I cannot recommend this game just for the fact that Ubisoft is trying to push this as a AAA title, when it really isn't.

Addendum: You'll need to install uPlay (Ubisoft Launcher) to play this.

It's just not enjoyable. The gun play is absolutely horrendous, the story lacks any sort of meaning or merit, if you're not playing with friends you might as well just not even play, the game modes aren't even remotely balanced (online-play), it just all around is an absolutely un-enjoyable game.

Oh, also, it's a Source engine game.

Do I recommend this game in it's current state? Not particularly.
Do I recommend this game overall? Yes!

I'll elaborate... In it's current state, Fall Guys is extremely fun, either solo or with a friend / friends. The wacky physics is not something that hinders you, but instead, gives opportunity for funny and downright outrageous things to happen.

However... There are many issues with this game currently, including an extreme lack of variety in terms of maps / gamemodes. You WILL end up playing the same map match after match. (Though, you won't get the same map twice in a single 5-round game). Another prominent issue right now is cheaters. There is absolutely no anti-cheat for this game, and no sufficient reporting system, so, there are cheaters in high numbers. You will know that someone is cheating by the simple fact that THEY WILL BE FLYING. LITERALLY. People will fly and entirely surpass the obstacles and immediately qualify for that round.

Another issue is latency and the effects that it has. When you're playing a gamemode such as Tail Tag (grab a tail, hold onto it for dear life and keep running, kind of like CTF) another player can grab your tail from such a far distance simply because their latency is much higher than yours, and the servers don't compensate for this in any way.

My final issue isn't a game-breaking one, but as someone who records and streams, it does cause slight issues. There is zero widescreen support to be seen. I play at 2560x1080, and have to deal with the game having massive black bars both on my own display, and on stream. I'd love to see some widescreen support soon-ish. (It's a Unity Engine game, it shouldn't be hard to implement. Please!)

Really, these are my only gripes about the game that keep me from recommending it in its CURRENT state. I do overall highly recommend this game as it's given me hours of fun both alone and with friends. Its wacky and cartoonish, but not to a fault. It has some really fun game modes and interesting maps that provide a sufficient challenge. It's relatively newbie friendly, and has controller support.

----- Update 15-09-2020

As of the most recent "Mid-Season Update", Easy Anti-Cheat TM was added, effectively removing the ability for the entirety of the Linux playerbase to actually play and enjoy this game. Additionally, the overall mechanics in game have changed, with maps being entirely randomised with different obstacles each time, which, one would think is a good thing, but it only adds to the RNG aspect of this game.

I have since updated my review to a non-recommendation as I cannot support foul practises like entirely removing support for a platform, especially when you are already into the life cycle of a game.

Please take no notice of the many negative reviews... You are going to be running A LOT in this game, and dying too. Loot is scarce and you'll need to eat and drink consistently. This game isn't Call of Duty, this game isn't Fornite so don't buy it and expect it to be. Its a completely open world, highly realistic survival game. The developers tried to make this game as close to real-life as possible while keeping it playable.

You won't remember the times you died but you'll remember the people you've met along the way and the encounters.

This game has it's own feel to it that isn't matched by any other game.

I highly recommend this game if you're someone looking for a game which, once you're into, the moments and experiences are second to none and the adrenaline can start flowing at any moment.

This review is for Fallout 76, not specific to a platform/DRM in which I am playing it.

Fallout 76 had a rough start, a very buggy start (including broken animations, unreliable connection, broken friends system and more). However, in the time leading up to Wastelanders, most of these bugs have been fixed and the game has come a very long way.

With the release of Wastelanders, the game has a new feel to it yet a familiar one. I feel like I am playing a *true* Fallout game, now... Just with multiplayer aspects.

Once you're through a bit of fetch-questing and boring dialogue, you get to the actual interesting dialogue for the NPCs. Just takes a bit to get aquainted.

Main downside to the multiplayer aspect with NPCs is, your team mate cannot see the dialogue choices available to chose from. Only the party-leader/team-leader can. Your team mate *can* however listen in on the conversation, which is nice.

The game plays pretty well with the mechanics being overall okay. You can encounter some scaling issues when it comes to damage that you put out vs the damage the enemy puts out. But, that so far is the only real problem I've encountered in that regard.

Fallout 1st is a non-neccessary subscription model that, if you don't pay for, won't notice it even exists.

Overall, this game is sitting really well with me and has for quite a while. It just took a while to mature.

I certainly recommend this game if you're a Fallout fan as it will bring back a pretty true Fallout experience.

Bad move Psyonix. Removing this from Linux and MacOS was one of the worst decisions you could've made. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but now, I won't be able to anymore.

Updated review as of August 24 2020 - Psyonix made the bold decision to make the game free-to-play... Even furthering my need to leave a negative review on this game. Psyonix, you're a scum company.

Updated review as of September 18 2020 - Epic Games fully acquired this game, scrapped controller support (yes, you can no longer use a controller for Rocket League on PC!), forced their own login system for a game on Steam, and entirely scrapped garage items. Everything has been turned into "Legacy" items, meaning you can no longer earn new items.

First off, I recommend this game. Plain and simple, it's a fun, wonky, and hectic game. There is a caveat though... I wouldn't recommend it for the full price of 2600 RUB / $40 USD.

The game overall has a pretty bad story... Without spoiling anything, it's very "Go here, Do Thing A, Survive Horde" rinse repeat etc etc. It's also very linear with no real choices to make. The ending left me feeling very unfulfilled.

There is some pretty wacky and funny dialogue from the Player 1 character (Player 2, if playing Co-Op doesn't speak).

You can find many interesting hats and masks to put on throughout the game as well as a pretty decent selection of handguns to choose from.

The method in which you move is pretty... okay. Make sure you've got it set to follow you head rather than controller, else, you have to point with the controller and its just annoying.

Overall, this game to me is a solid 7/10. It's fun with a friend, it has its moments, and overall would be totally fine to pick up as a quick arcade zombie shooter. Just... when it's on sale.

It's Combat Arms... That's for sure. Still the usual jumping around corners, using the most broken weapons, cheesey gameplay you will come across.

Still as P2W as it was back on Nexon launcher.

Don't touch this game if you were an old CA fan. Hell... even if you're looking just for a F2P game to pass time, there are plenty of others.

AVOID. THIS. GAME.
