I'm a bit on the fence with this one.
It has all the strengths of F1 2020, and the new breaking Point mode is a fun diversion, but once you've worked through that, the cut content becomes really apparent, especially given it was all already there in 2020. They've specifically had to remove this stuff rather than just leave it there and build upon it. Sigh.

Classic cars are gone, the short track layouts also gone. And while I know some of the 2021 season tracks are due to be patched in post launch, I can't say what else is coming via DLC.

One clearly strange omision is the inability to play with the 2020 season cars, given there's sections of the Breaking Point career where these cars and drivers appear prominent.
As with previous years, there's little quality of life changes and improvements that are well received and each year the game gets that little bit more polished. I especially appreciate the return of a proper Coop Career mode, although you cant play this with My Team, so again, a missed opportunity.

All in all, it could have been a swan song for the end of the Codemasters era of F1 games (before EA have their influence on where this series goes next). Instead, its tough to recommend unless you skipped F1 2020.

TLDR: Own F1 2020? Wait for heavy discounted sale.
Dont? Try getting hold of F1 2020.
Must have the 2021 season? Probably worth picking up but again, I'd wait for a sale.

I recommend it because its a good game, its just not the great game it could have been, and its certainly not better than F1 2020 before it.
