I’m only about 10 hours in so far, but I’m already loving Nioh 3. It feels very much like Nioh 2—which is exactly what I wanted—while expanding on what already made that game great, especially when it comes to combat depth and level design. The core systems are familiar, but they’ve been refined and built upon in ways that make encounters feel even more engaging and rewarding.

Visually, the game is clearly a step up. The next-gen graphics look fantastic, with improved lighting, effects, and overall detail that really bring the environments and enemies to life.

One of the biggest strengths of the series is still fully intact: player freedom. You can fight exactly how you want thanks to the wide variety of weapons, skills, and build options. Whether you prefer aggressive, fast-paced combat or a more methodical approach, the game supports it.

As for the optimization concerns I’ve seen mentioned, I personally haven’t had any major issues. As long as you’re realistic about what settings your PC can handle - and make sure to enable things like forced v-sync and maximum performance for power settings in your graphics card control panel - the game runs just fine.

If you loved the previous Nioh entries, this is an easy recommendation. So far, Nioh 3 feels like a confident evolution of the series rather than a reinvention, and that’s exactly what it needed.

Early Access Review
I'm only 20 hours in but I am enjoying it so far. If you need something for your xianxia fix this definitely scratches that itch.

Combat is pretty in-depth when it comes to abilities/custom stances and the cultivation/breakthrough system allows for a myriad of builds. The alchemy is also the best I've seen in a xianxia game so far.

My only gripe is that the actual combat itself can sometimes feel stale with the lack of attack animations. If they ever update that aspect (Or if someone wants to be a saint and make a mod) then this game would be a 9/10.

As it stands I give the game an 8/10.

Just finished the game (a little over 50 hours) and I'm left wishing there was even more. The combat can be fairly simple sometimes but the main draw here is the intriguing story and world building which I have been blown away by. If you're a fan of wuxia this is a must play

Edit: The fights are still fun. I would recommend you play on hard for it to be more engaging

It's basically a Mount and Blade game that's more multiplayer focused and tailored. The combat and skill systems are enjoyable and the ability to command troops feels fluid. It has a large community of players so the queue times are never that long, but there is also free roam where you are able to do single-player pve if you want to. Definitely worth a go if you are into this sort of thing.

This is a game that really didn't get enough recognition.

Combat: 10/10
Story: 7/10
Game Modes: 7/10

The combat is AMAZING. Being able to create your own martial arts style and dominating with said style is so satisfying.
The story seems shallow to some people, but it actually has more depth to it than they realize. Yes, the main "story" mode doesn't address enough of the history, but the downfall game mode really expands upon it.
The game modes are fun and well made, but it would be nice to have other things to do at end-game. Sadly the developers have ceased all support for the game.

All in all its definitely worth playing .

One of the classics. If you haven't played this game, you're really missing out. It has an engaging, in-depth story with great character development. Definitley worth buying. If you are a Star Wars fan, it is a must
