Simple, but good, game. For a very low price. And that's all you need sometimes.

It's a very standard horde shooter game. It doesn't really bring anything new to the table. The perk system is based on RNG, where you make a deck of "cards" with various bonuses on them, and you draw some every game. The problem is you don't get to choose your perks so any semblance of strategy is lost. Along with this the difficulty from normal to hard is way too steep. It goes from too easy, to way too hard with a single setting change. There are so many better co-op shooter choices for your money, like Payday 2, Left 4 Dead, and Vermintide 2. Boring, slow, and a very poorly balanced difficulty system. Not worth the price tag at all.

Never before did I think that going to work in the mines for 12 hours, and then going to work in the mines for 12 hours would be my idea of a good time. Yet here I am wanting to go back in with my friends.

A true spiritual successor to Fallout: New Vegas, from the original creators. A very good game for anyone who loves Obsidian, Fallout: NV and wants a new original story/adventure, very much of that, and Knights of the Old Republic 2, another Obsidian game.

A much more slimmed down version of CK2. Easier to get into, and with all the same fun mechanics. CK2 required your whole dosage of Ritalin to play. CK3 only requires a half dose. A lot to pay attention to, but a lot of fun once you get over the learning curve.

The return of the classic with some great upgrades. If Warcraft 3 Reforged is a testament to how you don't do a remaster, then C&C Remastered is an example of how you do it right. The same great game from the 90's, in full HD, modern interface and controls, and the same killer sound track. Worth every penny for both C&C fans, and newcomers alike. Welcome back commander!

It's the only version of Skyrim you need to buy anymore. All the DLC is included, and it looks nicer than the base game. Only real negative point I give this is no Steam Workshop like with 2011 Skyrim. The only way to get mods is through Bethesda, which is not great. If you really want to mod this version of Skyrim go through Nexus, they have all the mods that are popular, and its free.

Rocksmith is not so much a game as it is an education tool for playing guitar/bass guitar. So I will be reviewing it as that, and not necessarily as a game. With that out of the way, here we go!

TL;DR at the bottom.

Summary[/b]
Rocksmith is a great piece of software by Ubisoft, never thought I'd say that out loud. It's purpose is to teach you how to play guitar or bass using an almost Guitar Hero like system to tell what chords, or riffs, to hit when. It is almost as if an Ubisoft exec. saw Guitar Hero and thought, "yeah that's all well and good, but can they play a real instrument that way?" and voila Rocksmith was born.

Honestly the game has helped me remeber why I loved playing guitar and bass. I stopped a few years ago, and I now deeply regret it, as Rocksmith has reignited my passion for playing an instrument, and learning how to play my favorite songs along the way.

Now for the TL;DR
Positives[/b]
+Actual proven method to learn an insturment
+Good for beginners to old pros
+Large song library to learn from
+mod support
+Will help hone advanced skills like sliding and hammer-ons
Negatives[/b]
-DLC out the wazzoo that you need if you want to learn a new song
-Needs a Rocksmith instrument hookup cord to work
-Can be hard to calibrate at times

Overall Rocksmith is a wonderful piece of software that will ignite, or re-ignite, your passion for playing guitar or bass, I know it did for me. I strongly recommend this for anyone who already plays and wants to hone their skills, or even for someone that just wants to learn an instrument for the first time.
