It's a delightful mix of Sea of Thieves and extraction shooter.

Early Access Review
Don't purchase this yet unless you want to go along for the ride. I bought this game fully aware that i'm basically paying to be a beta tester and i'm comfortable with that. I am giving this recommendation with the knowledge that you've seen the "mixed" review score and are scrolling through the reviews to see whats up.

The games initial launch state was a bit lumpy, but I've been following the patch notes and they seem to be actively listening and incorporating player feedback. I think the level of completeness not being stated obviously from the beginning has led to a lot of the negative reviews, but i stepped into this game loving the original and aware of the rough edges of this release.

The core gameplay loop is a lot of fun, all the upgrade systems and currencies are a bit much, but it just gets me excited for when i can get to them, but i understand how someone else might look at them and be confused about how to obtain them when they don't even know the objective in the early game. The variety of weapons and upgrades both temporary and permanent is a nice mix. It's a cool idea to have perks found during the run carry over to the next with a set amount of times you can bring them back in. Takes a bit of the edge off of praying to RNGesus for a good run.

I like the core ideas, and have high hopes for the game.

It's a well made tower defense game with a solid story, no in depth review but i thoroughly enjoy the challenge.

It occasionally crashes while in the overworld menu but it auto saves and loads quickly so i've never lost progress, and i just pop back in, i have a strange setup so i can't blame the game.

I played a bunch of the clones before I played this out of some strange hipster thought process. I finally got this game and it is the strongest of them.

This game started off as a simple clone, but has updated super frequently with new heroes and modifiers. I got it on a whim and have no regrets. It focuses on fun and allows you to make "game breaking" pairings with some lucky RNG upgrades, but even when RNJesus doesn't bless you you still have a fighting chance.

I put "game breaking" in quotes, because even when you get lucky and unlock all the components to steam roll, it just unlocks the next difficulty modifier.

Early Access Review
In it's early state Its far less filled out than some other competitors in the genre, but the core gameplay loop is still a lot of fun.

I haven't finished it yet but the story has done some terrible things to me emotionally in the best way a game can.
The gameplay is solid, i like what the developers are offering. i think there could be some balancing in how money is made and lost when you die. It feels like it's more profitable to die purposefully to re-kill enemies and collect dropped loot to farm in specific spots, but i get that helps keep the open world feel.

for being a strange mobile game adapted for PC, i genuinely enjoy the puzzle aspect of the game. It adds enough random obstacles and enough powerups that it gets insanely difficult while at the same time giving you the means to power through any RNG puzzle shenanigans to pull it off.
