didn't like the first one. really love this one, for me the combat and progression systems are much improved. i feel like i always have the "next" thing to do and i'm not paralyzed by indecision like i was in the first game. recommended!

fun game

love bloober team games - this was an excellent remake of a classic horror game i never got to play and i enjoyed it :) my one issue with the game was the lack of variety in the combat, although this is probably staying true to the original, it would have been great to see them add a bit more depth. highly recommend!

Fun when you're with a good group. Rough when you're not.

The AI could use a bit of tweaking to make the engagements a little more varied or at least an option for AI "aggro level" could be pretty interesting. Perhaps a couple new "enemy types". There is a "suicide bomber" that blew up our entire squad one match and it was a memorable moment. I've only seen one suspect take a civilian hostage. More "unique" encounters like this would be interesting to explore.

I think there is something to be said for keeping things consistent when you are learning the levels, but after a certain point you frequently know what to expect. Might also like to see some "advanced" scenarios with more players in a larger engagement, maybe some players entering from the top or roping down, some players entering through the bottom floor, with one or two players on overwatch w/ sniper rifles, or another player being in a "commander" role in a van, viewing all the player cams - maybe with access to floor plans or CCTV access. Lots of great opportunities here! Have had a great time playing.

Fantastic game. 50 hours in and only scratching the surface. Great to play a game made with such depth to all the interactions and care taken in creating an interesting world. 10/10

I think this game really caters to gamers that like "collecting". It's also a fun way to learn a little bit about Japanese culture.

There was a super interesting concept at the core of this - the trailers for this game were fantastic. COVID must have had a substantial impact on development timelines and plans. I see gameplay/features that felt like the start of something much deeper, but instead are pretty surface level.

Even with all that, this game is really a passion project for the developers and a love letter to Tokyo. There's something to be said for games made with heart, even if they aren't perfect...I've been enjoying it :)

Fantastic sci-fi horror experience! If you like the movies, you'll love the environments. The art style and visual fidelity is really top notch. You really need to be patient to enjoy the experience though - it gets a little long in the tooth around the last few hours.

Great game EXCEPT for the MISSING LINK DLC weaved into the story. You temporarily get stripped of all your gear and progress in an extremely frustrating way, to traverse back and forth through areas with the most frustrating level design and loading zones. The rest of the game was pretty great, although the gameplay loop gets a bit repetitive in the last few hours.

Awesome. You can really choose your own path through this game and your decisions change the ending. A++
