I just finished the second case of a total of 5 (don't look at my playtime, there were few times when I opened the game and ended AFK for external reasons), and so far this is the best imitation of Ace Attorney that I have played; and it's pretty much what you would expect of an Ace Attorney game:
5 cases, with sections of trials and investigation, with trials focused in cross examination, with the mechanics of pressing/pressenting evidence, it has a few new mechanics to add some variety, but the same could be said about Ace Attorney games.
I also have to praise this game for being concise instead of obtuse, some AA fan games(and even some cases from the old games) don't have a very clear way of pointing out the contradictions, or to move forward during the investigation phases, making them almost impossible to beat without a guide. This game is NOT like that: if you know what's the problem with a testimony, it's pretty obvious which statement to choose and which evidence to choose(as it should be!, the effort should be focused on finding the contradiction rather than guessing how to communicate it), and investigation sections have markers to track which things you already inspected, large interact boxes(so you would not end midlessly clicking hoping to find something), and not a lot of insignificant details to inspect.

EDIT: I finished the game some months ago, I still recommend it, and the things I mentioned previously still applies to 4 of the 5 cases. The last case has some direction issues, it still has a climactic payoff that don't dissapoint, however the things leading to there are more convoluted than needed and after the big payoff there is still more stuff unraveling and unfortunately that felt pretty rushed (apparently the devs were planning another case but got scrapped out and we ended with a summary right at the end).
