The next paragraph it's just my personal feeling:
I like most of the Assassin's Creed games, but I usually feel that they are always close to be great but never hit the target. This game took the formula of the Assassin's Creed game and does hit the target; I mean, that the game is great and succeed where AC almost succeed.
Why I'm saying this?, mostly because of these reasons:
-The combat system it's really good, more similar to the Arkham series, but still unique. When you fight with lots of orcs you are likely to die if you don't run away, unlike that other games that I already named too much times in this review. But still with something like 5 orcs you can have a good action combat, and also some times you may need to fight with lots of orcs at the same time but just kill a target and then run.
-The Graphics/Optimization. This game looks so damn good and it's very well optimized, with short loading times, and higher FPS than many games that looks worse than this (including that game about pirates that I don't want to write its name).
-The parkour works well.

And there is also some things that makes this game very unique, even with that generic mechanics:
-The Nemesis System. The Sauron's Army have their own hierarchy that dynamically change during the game, depending of your actions (or even your lack of actions), every orc is unique and will remember your actions, you can also wound the orcs and they will have scars later. If an orc kills you, he will become stronger, that's an interesting penalty for dying and it works really well.
-Huge variety of options to kill the targets. As you are guessing you can kill them stealthy, in action, or maybe freeing a wild animal; but also, you have the option to kill the body guards first or to deal with them, you have the option to interrogate other orcs in order to know the weaknesses and strengths of the targets, you can decide which weaknesses to exploit to kill it (if any), and at some point in the game, you can brainwash the body guards to betray the target and kill it for you. Also, most of the options to kill the targets can taken to kill the body guards, and even you can exploit the bodyguard's fears in order to run away while you deal with the target.
-Overall, every situation in this game feels so unique, at the point where the line between pre-scripted sequences and sequences generated by gameplay begins to blur. The line it's still there, but this is the only game that I have ever played that blurs the line, even if it doesn't completely dissapear.
