I just finished the second case of a total of 5 (don't look at my playtime, there were few times when I opened the game and ended AFK for external reasons), and so far this is the best imitation of Ace Attorney that I have played; and it's pretty much what you would expect of an Ace Attorney game:
5 cases, with sections of trials and investigation, with trials focused in cross examination, with the mechanics of pressing/pressenting evidence, it has a few new mechanics to add some variety, but the same could be said about Ace Attorney games.
I also have to praise this game for being concise instead of obtuse, some AA fan games(and even some cases from the old games) don't have a very clear way of pointing out the contradictions, or to move forward during the investigation phases, making them almost impossible to beat without a guide. This game is NOT like that: if you know what's the problem with a testimony, it's pretty obvious which statement to choose and which evidence to choose(as it should be!, the effort should be focused on finding the contradiction rather than guessing how to communicate it), and investigation sections have markers to track which things you already inspected, large interact boxes(so you would not end midlessly clicking hoping to find something), and not a lot of insignificant details to inspect.

EDIT: I finished the game some months ago, I still recommend it, and the things I mentioned previously still applies to 4 of the 5 cases. The last case has some direction issues, it still has a climactic payoff that don't dissapoint, however the things leading to there are more convoluted than needed and after the big payoff there is still more stuff unraveling and unfortunately that felt pretty rushed (apparently the devs were planning another case but got scrapped out and we ended with a summary right at the end).

Sorry for being a killjoy, and not liking something that apparently everyone is loving and received a lot of care from the developers. Still, take my opinion as the statistical anomally rather than someone who thinks know better than the others.
Overall I felt that this game takes a lot of inspiration on Ace Attorney, and that's great, but at the same time for most of the game when you present evidence you only have one or two possible options for evidence to present, it's too straightforward.
Nearly to the end of the mystery things get more interesting after having to choose among more choices.
However my main issue with this game was the "minigame", it's not optional and it's very intrusive, every time the protagonist presets a proof, you have to play the minigame. First are single sections, but later they start to ask you to beat multiple ones and the difficulty of the minigame climbs up a lot (I think they get as hard as DKC car mine levels).
I wouldn't be surprised if 70% of my playthrough was the minigame rather than the mystery.
Overall this game starts as a mystery visual novel but it gradually transforms into an infinite runner. If you are ok with that, probably you will enjoy it.

Good platformer, I loved it even when I didn't played the original. The cutscenes are skipable, and it only takes a couple of seconds(and 2 button presses) to skip them (I see that recently some reviews had come out claiming that there are unskippable cutscenes, I'm not sure how they didn't notice that there is an skip option if you bring up the pause menu during a cutscene).

It's a very standard linear western hack & slash with an slightly medieval dark fantasy setting.
The combat presents an interesting dynamic of gaining health by doing damage when using light magic (but light magic depletes with time, regardless if you regain health or not), or getting refilling the magic bar by hitting multiple times without being hit.
This makes the combat to constantly alternate between an offensive style (when using magic and trying to gain health) and defensive style (when trying to get magic by hitting without being hit), and this keeps the combat engaging.
It also has some cleaver puzzles and platforming sections.

This is much better than Darksiders 3, and much closer to a real Darksiders.
Don't be fooled by the camera angles and distance, this is not Diablo. Still is a hack & slash with puzzles, platforming and exploration.
This change of perspective serves for the co-op and also because to allow Strife to aim and shoot pretty quickly. Also I remember that people complained that in Darksiders 1 & 2 the camera was so close that it was inconvenient for the combat due to not seeing clearly the surroundings, now that inconvenient is gone.
The downside is that this perspective makes the platforming pretty clunky.
