I love this game :D.
I think the best of this game is its combat, it has many weapons and many combos and still it's very easy to remember each one, and also, the game effectively teaches what's the purpose of all the weapons.
In a single playthrough I ended using effectively all the weapons and most of the combos. In most hack & slash I end using only few combos and few weapons (usually I don't replay games and I play in normal difficulty). So, this combat is very easy to learn but still deep, and that's awesome.
A great thing of this game is the level visual design, it remember me Alice: Madness Returns but with action music instead of thrilling music.
Lastly, recently my GPU stopped working and I have to survive for a while using an Intel HD 4000 graphic card, and I can play this game with ultra graphics at 1366x768 with 30 FPS without frame drops. I'm very surprised of that.

Good platformer. If you played this game or a demo before the paprer's cut edition and didn't like it, you should give it another chance because the game is much better now.
It combines the feeling of an action platformer and a puzzle platformer.
It has some gameplay mechanics that translates into a very interesting gameplay dynamics: Flat can transform into 3 shapes, each shape has different properties and different ways to interact with the world. Most of them are very intuitive and provides some depth while still being simple.
Also, some times its visual style is outstanding.
Unfortunately the first levels feels a little unpolished, but after beating them the game is pretty good.

This game has everything you would want and more for an arcade 90s shut'em up game.
It has great music, great sound effects, great pixel art, a lot of explosions, everything just feels amazing.
If you are interested in the details: this is a game that throws you a bunch of enemies, then lets you continue walking over the level, then throws you a bunch of enemies, and so on.
About the the controls, they are very interesting, you can move and aim with a stick and while you are shooting you continue aiming at the same direction but you can still walk, that's an interesting way to shoot and walk at the same time using a single stick, so, this is a game good for begginers in videogames but also can be very challenging and that makes this game also good for veterans in videogames.
Another nice thing that you can do is roll to evade bullets(you are invulnerable while rolling), and this game has a considerable amount of bullet hell parts. In fact, those parts are similar to Enter the Gungeon, but older :).

Pretty good game, it wasn't incredible good, but it was good enough and also this is one of the most original games I ever played. Not only the game mechanics are very fresh and polished, but also the world feels very original, with unique creatures and places instead of the typical ones of most pop media.
If you are looking for something different and at the same time something good, this is your choice.

A very good single player FPS, this game is pretty old but still plays very well, it doesn't follow the conventions of the modern shooters, instead it takes something of the old Id Software FPSs(like Doom or Quake) and then add very huge levels and platforming elements (it evolved from the classics to a different path of the one that took the rest of the FPSs).
It's very hard to find another game like Turok, many old FPS games feels like unpolished versions of modern games or a copy-paste of well-known classics(like Doom or Quake), but Turok still feels pretty different than everything else, and at the same time, it still plays very very well.
If you are wondering: yes, it plays with the standard WASD+Mouse controls for running and shooting and space to jump.

I'm dissapointed, but just a little bit. I played Battle for Naboo many years ago (it wasn't in the N64 era, but it wasn't recently either) and I enjoyed it a lot.
I read that BFN was part of the Rogue Squadron series, so I was excited to see another Rogue Squadron game on Steam, unfortunately it's far from being as good as BFN, I guess I was expecting too much from an spiritual predecessor.
Why I recommend it?, because it plays well with a XBox 360 controller, with no crashes and the game is still good (even when I was expecting it to be better).
I really liked Starfox and right now it's hard for me to find something similar, mostly because most of the flight simulators have more complicated controls or change the up direction constantly, the Rogue Squadron series are the only space shooters that I have found (aside from Star Battalion, which is a mobile game) that plays very similar to StarFox.
