I have now played through this game twice, and it is truly fantastic.

Very well written characters, very good worldbuilding and an engaging story that keeps you coming back for more.

My personal recommendation and the way I played:

Download the unofficial patch, for your first playthrough it makes things so much better.

For any subsequent playthoughs I recommend the unofficial plus patch. It adds quite a bit more content that was cut in development and a few new quests.
