Early Access Review
I get it. They are using the money and development time from DayZ to make the next engine for Bohemia Interactive so in the end we should not only get a great Dayz, but also get a great new engine for possibly Arma 3 and definitely Arma 4. The problem is that I paid for DayZ and not for the development of an engine. I feel cheated as I clearly paid to fund Bohemia Interactive's next engine which they will sell to me again through the purchase of another game (likely Arma 4 and definitely through the continued support of DLC for ARMA 3).

I don't think they did this on purpose when they setup DayZ as an early access game so even though I feel cheated I fully understand the limitations they ran into with the ARMA 2 engine and the need to make a new one for DayZ while I also hope that they make an engine that uses multicore CPUs so that we can see a better ARMA 3 and 4 when the time comes. If the new engine that comes with the bordering on egregiously long development of this game is truly optimised for more than one or two CPUs and we see that in DayZ, ARMA 3, and beyond I will be happy with my investment. For now, though, it has been wasted money.
