An action platformer with some spicy images that delivers on its promise. For this small price, it is a good catch.

Default keyboard controls are far from the standard, but you can easily rebind those. I couldn't select options in menus using rebound keys and I had to advance dialogue using the "Walk Right" button, but that's it.

The character animation is fluid and the art is beautiful, especially the main character and the bosses. The spicy artwork is good and an uncensor patch is available, but it is far from the main draw of the game. You can easily unlock all weapons, upgrades and images in a single playthrough.

The dialogue is well-written and the characters are likable, with realistic reactions and plenty of thought-provoking moments that stay true to the characters while setting up a great payoff. If you are not interested in the story for some reason, you can turn it off completely, a nice feature I'd like to see in other games.

There are multiple routes you can take to beat the game, with new paths being opened as you get new abilities from the bosses. The routes are not very elaborate, with the optional rooms being treasure rooms or bifurcations that reach the same destination. Unfortunately, due to the abundance of resources sprinkled throughout, there's no reason to backtrack or engage with complicated treasure rooms.

Boss battles are battles of attrition, with the player almost certainly taking damage during the encounters. Only through practice, you can defeat a boss before it defeats you. Thankfully, it is also a spawn room for the player, letting you go back to the action right away. The boss' attack patterns are well-telegraphed, but some of the ways to avoid the damage aren't, making you rely a bit on guesswork.

The unlockable weapons are fun to use and provide more gameplay variety. The enemies can be beaten efficiently with any of the four weapons, which is both a pro and a con: choosing a weapon to use is a matter of preference instead of a strategic decision.

It took me 6h to clear all rooms and beat the four bosses in the Warrior difficulty. While far from perfect or innovative, this is an interesting spin on the formula of the developer's previous game and a fun standalone experience.
