Like what anyone said, it's more like a hunting game instead of souls-like even though there are still a few element in it. You get quest from corpses, hunt the Mage, obtain their material, upgrade your gear, and progress the story.
There are some covenant also and unique item from their leader to purchase later.

My concern is, the Mage we hunt will always spawn on the exact same spot we fought earlier immediately (You just defeated the mage, and they will be appear again even if you don't rest on bonfire statue).
No parries but we get instant blocking in this game, which not really my cup of tea.

So, is it worth to play? YES. It has it's own element of fun.

But really a disappoinment as the sequel of previous game. I hope I can give it neutral review, but I set my expectation too high, it hurts. I'm sorry.
