The second add-on for the original Quake, this one adds new weapon varieties, new enemies, and new maps. I found the map design to be a little more complicated than in the previous map pack and noticed the inclusion of many traps, some of which are designed to be cheap. I still recommend this as it's Quake and it's fun.

*This is my second time playing through the game, my first time was when I beat it on Xbox 360*

Dust is an amazing game and one of my favorite games of all time. Everything about the game is great; the gorgeous art style, the music, the metroidvania style gameplay, the RPG elements, the controls, etc. This is a near flawless game in my eyes and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes action/adventure.

It's Quake 3 Arena with more weapons, more characters, and more maps with an emphasis on online mutiplayer. I would stick to Quake Live honestly but I'd recommend this if you can get it dirt cheap on a sale like I did.

Nice little add-on to the original Quake. It adds new weapons, enemies, and of course maps. The map design is a bit more complex and longer than the ones found in the original. If you enjoy Quake and want more levels to play, this will provide you with a few hours of entertainment.

Despite playing Quake 2, 3, and 4, I had never played the first one until I decided to try it on a whim. I must say the vanilla game leaves much to be desired, the graphics are pretty bad and the soundtrack is missing entirely. The best way to play this game is to check the Steam guides and download Quakespasm. It makes the game look really nice and it adds the soundtrack back in. With Quakespasm I was able to thoroughly enjoy this game. I didn't enjoy it as much as Quake 2 or Quake 3 but it was better than Quake 4. Great game to start off an amazing franchise.

Call of Duty: United Offensive takes everything that the first Call of Duty did well and adds many new features to it. New weapons include the Gewehr 43, Flamethrower, mountable MG34, and even the ability to call in airstrikes. You can also sprint. The campaign contains many great moments from the American, British, and Russian sides including the Battle of Bastogne, Invasion of Sicily, and Battle of Kursk. Some things to note however: Despite playing on the easiest difficulty I noticed that this game was much more difficult than the first Call of Duty on the same respective difficulty. I found myself dying a lot and wondered exactly what Veteran mode would be like. The second thing is that the game would not work for me (Windows 8.1) until I went into my NVIDIA control panel and changed the graphics processor from integrated to high-performance. Overall this is a great experience if you enjoyed the original and/or if you are into WW2 shooters.

The first Left 4 Dead is still very fun, especially with friends. The ability to install mods and custom campaigns makes purchasing this on Steam a no-brainer. Hours and hours of fun await you.

Call of Duty 2 is an amazing single-player experience and has one of the best campaigns you could ever ask for. You start off on the Eastern front playing as a Russian soldier, then halfway you play as the British, then last the Americans. The landing at Pointe du Hoc has to be one of the greatest missions ever. The game looks a lot better than the first Call of Duty and still looks great today. There still isn't the option to sprint (which is odd since the CoD1 expansion has sprinting and that came out before this) but overall the gameplay is stellar. Sadly I haven't gotten the online portion of the game to work but I am recommending this based on the single-player mode alone.

This is truly the definitive Serious Sam experience. If you have Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, HD: The Second Encounter, and 3: BFE you can play all of them here in this hub-like game in a seamless experience. The game does appear to run on a different engine compared to the original versions of the games but it's for the better. This game doesn't have the option to play Serious Sam 2 (it's the black sheep of the series anyway so not a big loss) so keep that in mind if you are a fan of that game.

Quake III Arena is a classic fast-paced FPS game from my childhood so I knew I had to buy this on Steam once I saw it. Incredibly fun and addicting gameplay. It's an arena based game so It doesn't play like Quake 1 or 2, instead you fight bots in deathmatch type scenarios and progress through the tiers of maps. Online play is stellar also, although a little dead. For an online Quake 3 experience, try Quake III: Team Arena or Quake Live.
