ONE-LINER
* Took me a few tries to like it, but now I get it lol.

PROS
+ Lots and lots of fun variation
+ Embraces multiple strategies and pivoting on the fly

CONS
- I think where it might fall short for people is that this plays more like Score Attack than Combat compared to most other roguelikes. It's just a theory, I speak from a perspective of liking Slay the Spire over Balatro for example.

FINAL RANKING
~ A - It's absolutely a fine game even though I do have my card game preferences over it.

ONE-LINER
* A mix of mechanics that work perfectly together.

PROS
+ Excellent visuals
+ Incredible payoff when mastered

CONS
- Difficulty ramp not for the faint of heart, especially the very last boss
- Generally, boss fights as a concept aren't great for a game like this where the boss arena lacks good Vert set pieces (pipes/bowls etc)

FINAL RANKING
~ S - An incredible innovation of ideas.

Saying anything more would rob you of the surprise.

I really can't recommend it enough! Smooth experience from start to finish. Tight focus on the core mechanic, photography, and simple but satisfying quest-doing without an ounce of friction. If you give yourself to this world, it'll be like a Sunday drive. 10/10

I got mixed feelings.
The combat is fantastic, maybe a little repetitive, but clearing a fight without taking a hit is always awesome.
The tile-based dungeon crawler aspect, I could take or leave, but it has its charm along with the characters and writing.

The motion sickness is a deal-breaker though, I just need a little more FOV to work with and I would definitely hop back in.

The real mayhem comes from discovering how surprisingly high the ceiling is for mastery. Great value for the price, solid tunes, visuals, etc. Made by the same team from the Runner series, so you know it's in good hands.

+ Fluid action and movement

Fantastic puzzle game, charming and challenging.

However, can't help but think this may have been better to bundle as a 2-pack product with Snakebird 1 or as an expanded "Snakebird Deluxe" and offer both at a discounted overall price.

In the meantime, this is a great way to wrap your head around the mechanics if you decide to tackle the original.

Great game even for those who have never played Limbo. The detailed animation work alone is worth the price. Definitely pick this up if on sale.

I can imagine worse ways to spend an hour. For what it's worth, it's a short, sweet topdown shooter wrapped in an rpg with a handful of nice secrets and an interesting conclusion.
