TL;DR
-More hack'n'slash than roguelite but more DarkSoulsLite???
-Become a slave to capitalism to become a big strong boy
-Why my wepon so slow and enemy attack so fast???
-7 out of 10, would play for a moderate amount of time

Combat
I think it feels a bit slow, but I think it's because I'm used to the responsiveness of something like Hollow Knight. It's not really about reaction and agility, moreso about playing smart. It may be a hack'n'slash, but you play more like Dark Souls (you got a dodgeroll, you got health potions!) I do feel the enemies attack pretty quickly with very short telegraphing, but being smart and learning patterns makes them easy to deal with. Bosses are and exception and telegraphed pretty well, imo. The weapon variety is fun, and nice you can hold 2 weapons at a time. I think your attack animation has a little too many end-animation frames so it makes you feel like a slow boy dragging his feet

Progression
You have to sell the items you find in dungeons to make money and expand your base and power level (weapon upgrades, armor upgrades). You also have to make sure to save some items to make sure you have enough for said upgrades. There's a little shop mini-game where you figure out the economy of your items... What's the value of this item? What about when it's at a low or high demand? Oh god I sold an item worth 5000 for 10 gold wtf!!! At first it was pretty fun, but it got stale pretty quickly because it was a huge time sink. I just ended up looking up the prices on the wiki since waiting for all your items to sell and trial & erroring your item prices takes forever!

Story
It's very subtle. Not very IN YO' FACE. You're just some guy that wants to find out what's in the spooky cool dungeon thing. Wish there was a little more depth to it but it's whatever, I've only played the first 2 dungeons out of 4 or 5. Like, I have no attachment to any of these characters because there's just nothing to get emotionally invested in.

Overall Thoughts
I come back to this game, so that's saying a lot actually. As an adult that's busy with life, I'm very picky about games I come back to so the fact that I come back and decided to make a relatively long review to this means that I like it enough! The combat cons are meh, but I can play around it. Figuring out how to be a strong boy is more fun than the frustration of being a slow boy. Progression can be a little annoying, but I have a handy dandy wiki to lessen the capitalism simulator time sink.
