Crazy. More promises broken, $15 for the first new character since launch, and there's somehow brainwashed nutjobs that think it's just a matter of being broke or not.

Maybe one day a better company will make a 40k co-op game, and not one that takes 3 years to get the game to an acceptable level, which is such a shame because the atmosphere, music and gameplay are fantastic.

Harder falloff than Overwatch

It's really sad, a game that exploded because there was FINALLY a game that had soul and that was FUN.
Only for the developers to be entirely incompetent and decide to keep nuking the game into the ground and for the community to be overseen by such questionable figures. There's drama and bull every other week.

The developers keep going "oh we're listening to feedback" and "oh we're reevaluating how we approach the game" and people keep eating it up even though they have CONTINUED to say that every time they release a horrible update and completely gut things.

So disappointing. I used to love this game, and I want to keep loving it, but jesus christ.

A perfect example of a company and what once was an amazing game fallen from grace.

I beg you to hire a team for this, even if it's just a small group.
This game has potential, lots of it, but it's not going to get that if it's just one person working on it, especially evident by the lackluster Halloween update.

This game is going to need content updates fast if you want players to stay invested and not lose 80% of your playerbase like what happened to Fall Guys.

I can't remember the last time I got so hyped up about a game and it exceeded my expectations. It was a little slow at the start but then it really started to pick up, ESPECIALLY near the end. This is worth the $80. I just wish there was a NG+ or a little more to do afterwards.

My impressions so far.
It's a fun game, simply put.
The fighting is pretty spot on, and each time you get hit or hit the other, it's incredibly satisfying thanks to feedback and the excellent sound design. The graphics are smooth and what you'd expect from a game on the Unreal engine. The models can look a little odd, but you can easily look past that. The character roster is great in my opinion, and I seriously look forward to the release of DLC characters.

Now... This game isn't perfect. Far from it. It's obvious most of the budget went into the fighting mechanics. The story is rather lacking... Specifically the cutscenes and some animations. I get some serious MVC Infinite vibes with how the characters move. They move like the characters in the Food Fight movie. The character's mouths are also pretty terrible when they're speaking. The walking and running animations for your avatar and others are also pretty bad. However, there's one thing that just flabbergasts me... THEY DIDN'T GIVE RYUK A VOICE ACTOR. He has lines in the cutscenes, and he flails around as if he was talking, but there's no sound that comes from him. How the hell did that happen?

In the end, it's not a game for everyday people. It's niche like most anime games. But, if you like Shonen, and you like fighting games, you'll enjoy this as well.

If you like pelting someone with 2000 MG rounds as a plane and not killing them and then getting your pilot one tapped, this is the game for you.
