I can wholeheartedly recommend this game.
As soon as I shot the first shot with RoboCops gun, I was hooked and immediately played through it twice.

There were high hopes for this game, especially since many people, myself included, played and loved the original 3DS game from 2012. They really delivered with this one. I didn’t expect it to take up so much of my time, but I’ve been completely hooked and I know I’ll keep coming back to it. It’s hard to explain exactly what makes it so fun. It just clicks.

The story feels a bit childish at first, but by the end it actually got to me emotionally. Maybe that’s just me. The music is excellent. The crafting system is solid. Overall, it’s a well-rounded experience that I genuinely enjoy, and I hope they continue adding more content. Even as it stands, there’s already plenty to keep you engaged for hours as I have already done so.

The 60€ price tag is a bit scary, but if you’ve enjoyed games like this before, it’s money well spent and something worth supporting.

I’ve spent a lot of time with Infinity Nikki and enjoyed it for what it was, relaxing, visually creative, and a nice break from most modern games. As an adult male outside the typical target demographic, I still found real value in the styling, exploration, and atmosphere the game offered.

But the direction it’s going in now is unacceptable.

The 1.5 update introduced major issues. The new 11-piece outfit set inflated the gacha cost to a 220 pity, up from the previous 200. It’s a blatant push toward aggressive monetization, with no added value to justify the change. The update also retconned the original intro sequence of the game, removing emotional weight and context that helped define Nikki as a character. It wasn’t a minor change, it rewrote the tone of the game’s beginning and undermined established narrative content with no explanation.

Worse than the update itself was how the developer responded to criticism. The word “boycott” has reportedly been censored across official platforms like Discord and Reddit. Users sharing critical Steam reviews or screenshots of the new gacha system have been banned. These aren’t just isolated incidents, it’s part of a pattern of silencing community feedback.

What made Infinity Nikki strong was its community and the trust it built early on. That’s gone now. The rise of the #girlcott is not performative, it’s a response to developer actions that show they’re willing to exploit the player base and shut down dissent. I still enjoy the core gameplay, but I can’t support this behavior.

Until Infold Games shows respect to its players, addresses the predatory changes, and reverses the censorship, I won’t recommend this game to anyone.

I can confidently say that I am not a huge "fan" of this game. But I can definitely say that I can play it nonetheless.
When I got absolutely nothing to do, then this is the best alternative to browsing reels or binging youtube documentaries (tho ig you could do both at the same time).

I will definitely continue to play this game and I hope that they add cross-save functionality so that I can be bored on my Phone as well, yet not unhappy.

It gets a postitive meh/10 for me

Honestly, I had fun. But that is only because of the friend I was playing with.

Genuinely don't recommend even taking a further look at this game than this review... assuming you even made it this far.

EDIT: If you look closer at all the positive reviews, you'll notice that they only have around 4 reviews which are all for the same dev (including this one). You shouldn't get any game from this developer.

I never thought I'd like this as much as I do.
It's in its very essence super simple, yet the focus really is the social aspect.
It is quite fun to hop in with your friends and just chill whilst upgrading your fishing skills.

I can definitely recommend it for people who like very slow paced games with barely any action. The Artstyle is quite cute.

The most enjoyable VR Rhythm/Music experience in recent years!

It really understands how to use a still relatively unexplored Medium such as VR to its best, and really does give you goosebumps once you 'feel' it.

Putting the player in the position of a maestro has been done before but this one does it at a more accessible way with a lovably stylish art style and an Arcade-y feel.

Sadly, this game suffers only through the amount of content it currently has. Whilst there are only 16 levels available to play, a relatively able player will be able to finish it within 2 hours on medium difficulty. (Ignoring that some of the levels are the same pieces split in two).

The developers already have committed since before launch to continuously develop the game and to add more levels/pieces down the line, but as of right now I don't believe the Price Point to be just, even when exceeding in executing something relatively new in the VR space.

I will keep my eye on this as time goes on.

I genuinely like the entire Warplanes seriens, I just wish that the progression system that you find in singleplayer could be played in co-op with friend compared to just pre-made/custom missions

I love the soundtrack for this game, but specifically the download an implementation of this Soundtrack in Steam is weird and just plain wrong. When using the Steam Media Player, the majority, if not all of them are plain mislabeled.

If you select Browse Local Files after you download the soundtrack you'll find 82 Songs, compared to the 38 or so shown on Steam, all labeled correctly. Odd. But it's all there.
