Extremely promising! The ground combat feels just as good as its contemporary shooters. Upgrading, repairing, and extinguishing the ship is very satisfying. Movement feels absolutely fantastic, and the art is incredible. It's very easy to get immersed in it!

Honestly, the main criticism I have is the best one a game can receive: I wish there was more of it! It seems like they have a very solid foundation and i'm excited to see how it's expanded upon in the final release to avoid "wide as an ocean deep as a puddle" syndrome.

Some of the main things i'm hoping to see are...

More ship combat variety: A wider variety of enemy ships and weapons that require different kinds of maneuvering or tactics to avoid would be fantastic. Also, a few specific enemy attacks seem impractical to dodge such as sniper shots or fighter strafing. But then again, maybe our thrusters just weren't strong enough?

More ground enemy variety: it seems like we encountered most of them in just a few hours of playing the demo, and the ones with creative attacks like radiation flares sadly had little impact on the combat and could usually be ignored. Many had very unique models and modes of movement, but ultimately still just shot the same little projectiles at the player. More mixups to the combat formula would be great, and other enemy factions would be even better, though of course that might not be practical.

More mission type variety: Ferrying heavy objects around and shooting hardpoints both get the job done, but I am quite excited to see more unique or complex objectives. Perhaps even some kind of curated 'campaign' missions or unique raid-like challenges? It really feels like there's a ton they could do with the mission system!
