Edit: Changed from recommended to not recommended. Used to be good, but now I wouldn't recommend a new player to invest time into it.

When the game was released, we felt like super soldiers that were sent on missions vital to humanity's survival. However, the first round of nerfs happened which shocked literally everyone. Second round of nerfs happened, and this is when we really see player count start to fall off. We then find out, from the CEO himself, said that the game's direction was based off "Starship Troopers," and that players were supposed to feel like cannon fodder.

Naturally, players asked them not to do that in a PvE game. They didn't listen. The whole Playstation Network fisaco happened. A lot of people blame that for the player count decreasing, but if you look at steam charts, it actually didn't matter much at all.

More nerfs went through. It got to the point where the CEO had to step down to focus on making the game good again. Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel. A round of buffs! Except, if you really looked at it, the buffs didn't restore any of the weapons to their former glory... they were still worse versions of what they used to be. Still, it was a step in the right direction.

Until now. The tunnel must have collapsed or something because I guess they still have that "Starship Troopers" mentality. They sent out more nerfs. This used to be one of the very few games you would bring up as a reason as to why "live service" games are good... but now? It's just one of the many reasons why they should have never existed.

I watched from afar by reading the patch notes just to be disappointed every time they're released... so... I'm done. It's a PVE game. For those who say "just get good," I'll "get good" at something more worth my time. Enjoy wasting yours.
