Out of the three games that Blackmill has made in regards to WWI shooters; this one is by far my favorite. The Eastern Front during the first world war is extremely underrated; to see a game that goes so in depth in historical accuracy in this field is great. While majority of the servers are pretty much dead, it is still a great game but is overshadowed by Isonzo and Verdun (both are also pretty good).

While optimization is not particularly amazing, I'd rather play this and die to historically accurate bolt action rifles then play Battlefield 1 and die to the MG Telescopic 1917.

I've heard about Payday for the longest time; my friend from school used to play it all the time, even dressed up as Dallas for Halloween. It never really peaked my interest at the time because to me it looked complex. I stuck to playing Team Fortress 2, Garry's Mod, and going back and forth on my console. Now I'm almost 21, and It wasn't until recently I just got bored of playing the same four games in rotation - I wanted to try something new. I did try to get into Payday about four or three years ago but for some reason it didn't open so I refunded it. However, I decided to give it a chance again, and for some reason it works now. I may have just started a week ago, but man, this game already has me hooked.

Overall, in terms of beginning and playing with some friends - its a really fun game and I can see why my friend loved it so.

Early Access Review
This game used to be enjoyable before easy-anti cheat. But god, the people who actually make this their reality are sad and pathetic. You can smell the stench of their unhygienic bodies, and the desolate rot from their chair donuts. This went from a friendly hangout game, to basic millennial couples standing or levitating in front of a mirror which always use the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anime-looking avatars with their shirtless color haired boyfriends whom always sit with one leg crossed over the other like a Buddhist monk; and then of course there is always one person with full body tracking, dancing in front of the mirror blasting their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ music.

After EmmVRC and the end of watching movies with your friends,

the game just became groomer erp central.

I'm going to be brutally honest in both two ways: one, yes, the game is one of the best extraction shooters I have ever played; two, no, the game is not optimized or has touched the issue of fps drop, cheaters, bugs, etc... I usually play games like Team Fortress 2 and L4D2; so Hunt in the beginning was like a route of new variety. It was unforgiving and I would say I "learnt", but you'll always learn from your mistakes then and currently. This game caught my interest because I'm a huge fan of antique firearms, zombies, PVP and creepy/macabre aesthetics. With friends, this game becomes a little more enjoyable, especially if you all die. I love this game, but now, watching how much the developers could care less with all the negative impacts that come with the game alone - is really discouraging to the current player base. Fixing issues is to their least concern, and instead prioritize which well-known horror mascot can make a quick cash grab. It is really disappointing to watch this great game fall like this. This wasn't the original game that so peaked my interest, along with so many others before me.

Hunt Showdown?

No.

Romero: "Well, I've always liked the 'monster within' idea. I like the zombies being us. It's like zombies are the blue-collar monsters."

The lighthouse appears on the screen with a flash of lightning behind it. Zombies start to attack Danny Trejo, who was armed with two machetes and Robert Englund armed with a pitchfork.

Trejo: "We're completely surrounded!"

Englund: "We're completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥!"

Englund stabs a zombie with his pitchfork and Michael Rooker kills zombies with two Sawed-Off Shotguns.

Rooker: "Are you girls kidding me? I've been praying for this ♥♥♥♥! Come on!"

A door to the lighthouse opens behind Rooker, and Sarah Michelle Gellar kicks a zombie corpse down the stairs that lead to the door.

Gellar: "Boys... let's get to work."

Action music starts playing and all four celebrities continue killing zombies. A zombie comes to attack Rooker from behind. Rooker turns around and attempts to hit the zombie on the shoulder but misses. The zombie stops attacking, looks at the camera, and starts talking.

Fake Zombie: "For God's sakes, he missed me again!"

Romero: "Cut! Are you blind, man?"

Romero takes one of Rooker's shotguns and goes to Englund to demonstrate how Rooker was supposed to knock out the zombie for the movie.

Romero: "Like this."

Romero hits Englund in the face with the butt of the shotgun.

Englund: "OOOWWWW!"

Romero: "See?"

Trejo: "No jefe, I do it like this."

Trejo bunts the bottom of his machete on top of Englund's head.

Englund: "Danny!"

Gellar: "I do it like this."

Gellar roundhouse kicks Englund in the chest, knocking him on his back. A real zombie then comes out of a window prop.

Romero: "Get back to hair and make-up. You don't look dead enough!"

A fake zombie attempts to take the real zombie by the shoulder to escort it to hair and make-up.

Fake Zombie: "Come on, let's go."

The real zombie throws the fake one to the ground, picks up Romero and runs away with him.

Rooker: "That ain't in the script."

Trejo: "We're writing a new one! It's called 'Maggot! Sack! Massacre!'"

Englund: "This is a real nightmare!"

Englund stabs an approaching zombie with his pitchfork

Sarah stabs a zombie in the back with a sickle

Gellar: "Let's slay some stiffs!"

Trejo slashes two zombies' necks, runs another zombie through and slits its neck. Gellar kicks another zombie in the mouth as Englund stabs a zombie with his pitchfork and throws it onto the ground, stabbing it again to kill it. Rooker kills some zombies with his shotguns, and shoots towards the camera as the film ends.
