For starters, the tutorial took me two (!!) days to complete. Ok, maybe not the full 8 hour work days, more like two 1.5-2 hour gaming evenings, but still.. maybe I'm just dumb though.

This is by far the hardest table top game I have ever played. First, it was hard to understand the mechanics, then tactics came into play but after that (and with the help of my smarter comrades) the game really opened up for me. It's challenging. It's beautiful. It makes you use your brain for once. The amount of content quest-wise and character-wise is huge. Can't be certain, but I reckon it may take up to 300 hours to try out every max level character with all perks and cards unlocked and beat all 95 scenarios.

I would especially like to note the work of the narrator. Boy did he deliver an outstanding performance! And yes, as many before mentioned, it's better with friends. You will fight, argue about choices and laugh at your stupidity, basically having a great time.

There's one technical issue though that could ruin the fun: the game is VERY sensitve to your internet connection so if you have a bad one prepare yourself for frequent disconnects.

Other than that, highly recommend and do hope to see more content soon.

This is one of the best (if not the best) co-op games I've ever played. It's beautiful, puzzles are challenging and fun and the story is pretty good. If you're looking for a great co-op experience this is your #1 choice. All four parts are great and I'm looking forward to new chapters!

Ahhh the memories... back in the day when I played this on Orteils site.. man I feel old

So, it's not the first ever incremental game (the first one was Progress Quest), but it's the one that got me REALLY hooked up on the concept of idle games. It's fun, it's addictive and to this day is one of the best that has ever been made. Trust me, I have thousands of wasted hours in Idle Champions, Clicker Heroes etc...

Early Access Review
If all early access games could be released in the same state as this game the world would be a better place for sure. I've enjoyed Ziggurat 1 a lot and the sequel is better in all aspects: it has a lot more items, perks, weapons, characters, dungeon locations etc etc. The story mode is neat although could be more diverse. All in all, worth every penny. This game should get a lot more attention. My full support goes to the devs, great job so far guys! Looking forward to final release.

Early Access Review
My wife and kid are on vacation so I spent 13 hours straight chopping trees and mining iron on saturday and 11 hours on sunday. At this point that's all I have to say about this game.

P.s.

Odin ga oss
Suttung sitt mjød
Det magiske mjød
Det daglige brød!

Odin ga oss
Suttung sitt mjød
Det magiske mjød
Det er bedre enn øl!

Edit 1. March 2025: Changing this review to negative. With heavy heart I must say. I mean, it's been almost four freaking years (!!!) and all the news we get from devs is "here's the build of the month". Why they decided that majority of players need a sandbox medieval house builder instead of new biomes, enemies, items etc. is beyond comprehension. I guess $90 million revenue is not enough to hire additional developers and make some meaningful content instead of spoons and forks. It could have been an excellent game but.. a loss. It still has some potential though if the devs get their sh*t together, however the further it goes the less I believe in it.

I dodged all the hype before the launch, having seen only one cinematic trailer and that's it. So I think that's one of the main reasons I've enjoyed this game A LOT... given the fact that I don't like cyberpunk setting, like, at all, and I'm not too fond of GTA-types of games either.

...so what can be said after 125 hours?

Unpolished and buggy? Yep
Glitchy and resource demanding? Yep
Next-gen gameplay? Nope
Next-gen graphics? Hmm.. no, I don't think so

....great story, amazing setting, catchy characters? Immersive and huge open world? A lot of stuff to do besides main story line? OH HELL YES!!!

If you're too sensitive to bugs and glitches, wait up a bit till they fix it, but I didn't encounter anything THAT game breaking. Good game it is!

Edit 1: Improvements and Phantom Liberty

Boy, has this game improved over the years! The Night City has blossomed, to put it mildly. So many things fixed and features added. I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed the game at launch, but had it been released in this state back then, it would have been glorious. Well, it certainly is glorious now, so yeah, it's obvious that the devs have put a tremendous amount of effort into their game.

Now, about Phantom Liberty... I don't know where to start, really. I think I've learned the difference between DLC and Expansion. Truly, this is not some petty DLC stuff. It looks like a standalone game rather than an expansion, especially compared to actual games that are being released nowadays. The story is rock solid, with so many different paths that it makes you want to replay it until you find the outcome that suits you best. Also, you unveil different sides and aspects of the said story when you choose to go this or that way, which really expands the experience.

The whole new area of Dogtown could have been bigger, in my opinion, but don't get me wrong, it really is big. I just can't get enough of it. It's a huge addition to the game map with its own unique atmosphere, features, events, quests, etc.

I also have to give it to Idris Elba, who did an outstanding job, and it's no less impressive than what has already been done by Keanu Reeves. They both delivered fantastic performances, and I must admit I don't know any other celebrity in any other game whose appearance is anywhere near what those two have done. It's not just some visual resemblance of an in-game model or a cinematic feature. It's a full-on acting performance. The amount of dialogue is enormous, and it is acting, not just "here, I'll read my lines." It's clear that they are invested in their characters and strive to deliver the best performance they can.

Overall, this is a must-have game in every gamer's library. As I mentioned above, I'm not really into the cyberpunk setting, but this game has changed my perception of the genre. I really enjoyed it, and I envy those who will experience it for the first time now. It's worth every cent, and I eagerly await what comes next.

One of those indie games made with love and dedictaion. Fun dialogs, good story, fine graphics. I play it on my phone but bought it on PC to support the devs. A good game and a pretty decent port.

Yeah, well... unfortunately, it's not Doom. It's way worse than previous part.

First, like Hugo Martin stated - it's "cartoonish". Oh yes it is. Like, cringy cartoonish. I thought "Hell on Earth" would be dreadful, dark and uneasy. What I got is Looney Toons Road Runner type of ♥♥♥♥.

Second is the pace, which is being praised in some reviews and maybe it's good for some games but it's not good for Doom. Combat speed was just enough in Doom 2016. Why would ID want to make us run around like we constantly hitting hornets nest is something I can't fathom. It just doesn't feel comfortable to play.

So... you love Doom series and want to play IDs new game? Well, can't recommend it to you then. THIS is not Doom. It's something else and I don't like it.

P.s. I should've probably stated this in the beginning of my review - no, I'm not mentioning Denuvo Anti-Cheat stuff cuz at this point I don't even care. The game itself frustrates me so... that's that.

Edit 1: corrected one word. Sorry, English is not my first language

Keeps crashing during gameplay. DX12 issue or not I don't care, it should have been fixed ages ago but it seems devs just decided not to support this game anymore (triple A, mind you). Forums are flooded with people complaining about different crash issues. Nice work devs, 0/10. I wish I could refund this piece of garbage.
