As a young boomer I love this game just for the nostalgia alone. So yeah, I am biased. But Platinum has objectively done right by G1 Transformers and it's fans with simple but fun gameplay, fan service and amazing aesthetics that faithfully brings your childhood back to life in an interactive way. And it's such a shame too that this game and the war for Cybertron series has been delisted from all digital storefronts and hasn't been 'fixed' since all for something stupid as licensing issues. This is precisely why we need to fight for preservation of the things we love.

Just couldn't get in to the flow of the (to me) complicated fighting mechanics. I kinda started to get the hang of things, I think, but it still kinda felt like button mashing X and Y at the right time to me and that didn't help with the thougher fights. All in all it didn't feel as satisfying to me playing this as I would've wanted to.

Very enjoyable stealth game to sink your teeth in to. Well thought out mission design that can be approached in multiple different ways and with tons of attention to detail. I can spend hours on one mission alone trying to get the best score and complete all the challenges.
Also, for a game that is already a little over 10 years old it still holds up very well graphics wise and in it's presentation.

If you're style is stealth and being creative in your playstyle than this is for you. It goes for dirt cheap as well when on sale so you have no reason not to get it if you don't already own it.

A great stealth/assassination game tainted by silly business practices by the IO interactive.
So, standalone Hitman 1 and 2 can not be bought anymore, though if you already own them you can still play them. However, you can not buy the DLC anymore if you didn't already. You can, but in order to do so you will have to buy the renamed Hitman 3 (great, because you didn't have that one yet) which now includes all three games in one slick looking package. Just be sure to buy the right version.
Once you do you will unfortunately have to start all over again because your progress from the older versions of the games will not be brought over. How's that for respecting your player base.

If you want to re-imagine a whole trilogy and package it up in to one complete experience then that is all fine with me. All for it. But next time, try to not make a confusing mess of it and screw over existing players so much.

Can I recommend the game? Yes, so I will, but this whole overcomplicated buying and upgrading system is unnecessarily confusing while feeling very deliberate. In other words, beware and do your research before you buy.

A great game partially ruined by stupid business dicisions. Hitman 1 and 2 can not be bought anymore, and if you already own them you can still play them, though you can not buy the DLC anymore. You will have to buy the renamed Hitman 3 to get all 3 games in 1 package, as long as you make sure to buy the right version. Once you do you will unfortunately have to start over again. Your previous save games will not be brought over.

This game is too easy and yet so much fun while it runs like a lizard in heat on the Steam Deck. So don't be a stingy minge and just get it. It's an absolute steal when on sale.

If you fancy arcade type shooters and the old west then I reckon you'll be having a blast with this ol' golden nugget.

Early Access Review
I can recommend, though I myself am already kinda done with it, for now. Not much else for me to do at this point but to keep grinding away in the 'kitchen' and hitting the streets, leveling up, untill I unlock the dockside area next, and then the whole thing most likely repeats itself.

I had fun with this little gem, but grinding always feels very passive to me and makes me very aware of real world time wasting. So i'm looking forward to revisiting this game again in the future and hoping to find a lot more gameplay mechanics being added that fleshes everything out and make it feel more like you're playing a season finale episode of say 'Breaking Bad'.

Alright, it's not great, but to be perfectly honest, I think this game isn't half as bad as it's made out to be either.
Is it cheesy as hell? O absoluty. No doubt about that. The phoned in voice acting of celebraties long past their relavance and/or expiry date is more than enough to put a cringe worthy smile on my face. But dispite this being a cringy and cheap blend of genres and not complety cooked all the way through gameplay mechanics, CB:RC does has it's own charm, both in it's over the top collorful style and in it's core gameplay loop that has quite some neat ideas. And to me the game and what it wants to be doesn't feel at all soulless. What I do think however is that the young developing team behind this, though having some really interesting ideas, simply lacked the experience and ultimately weren't very cohesive in their ambitions to make it a streamlined and coherent end experience.
But that being said, I also believe that the game has been in much worse a shape then it is in nowadays. At least, my understanding is that a lot has been changed and finetuned since it's launch 2 years ago, having read the update history and comparing it to older reviews and playthroughs i've seen of it, for the better I might add, so that might have something to do with it as well. But I wouldn't know, because I only just picked it up yesterday and having played it for a little over 6 hours now I can honestly say that I'm still having a decent amount of fun with it. No masterpiece or anything close to that, but just something cheap and greasy good in between, like streetfood Pizza or a fun night with someone you met at a club after having a few to many. Not very meaningful, though you don't really regret it either, 'cos it was fun in the moment.
And for €1,99 (on sale!) you do get quite a lot to play around with.

Got the evening off and thought i'd chill and throw on a game. Got to the menu. Controller not responding...

I'm sorry, work arounds or not, I really can't be bothered at the moment. I just want to play a game and I can't. Big disappointment. Fix your ♥♥♥♥ devs
