I don't want to downvote this game because I can see a lot of hard work and attention for nostalgic detail went in to this, so I won't, but it's just not my thing. All the tedious micro managment is just not fun to keep track of, as if managing my own life wasn't already enough. When I play games I want an escape from that for a bit, to do something or be someone I wouldn't normally do or be. Not do almost the same exact thing in a pixelated world.

I mostly wanted to fight, train a bit and climb up the ranks, but instead a lot of my time went into keeping up my health while trying to earn money and keeping my build up stats in check and struggling with it. If this sounds like fun to you then you'll enjoy this, otherwise pass it up or watch someone else play it.

Fairly short game, especialy for the price. Still, it's a good and nice looking platform shooter so i'd recommend getting it when it's on sale.

On a side note, I played through the game with a Xbox One controller which worked but the input options did give me some trouble at times, and the responsiveness of the controls were not as tight as I would've liked 'em to be. Don't know if it was input lag or just the programming.

Didn't feel as much Halo as Halo. Everything was there and yet missed something.
Would have rather seen a more continues campaign single player mode then the lose mission structure it has now.

It's a fun little co-up game that let's you mess about in various small worlds which all have their own interactive themes and puzzle solving elements.
Though it is possible to play by yourself most fun is to be had with friends, be it to complete tasks together or just troll eachother.

The Controls are intuitive but can be quite tricky to master, and even if you do get the hang of it it never feels like you're in full control of your actions, but that is as intended because it adds to the fun. This game is not about who gets to the end first or who is the best at something, it's about, again, having fun with friends in the playground you just got dropped in, literally. And the more friends the merrier.

I'm not sure if it's worth it at full price, but it's definitly worth getting if you're looking for something to play with your friends or others. So probably wait 'till it's on sale, which is often. I recently bought the four-pack via Green Man Gaming for about €13,- ($16 US) , which was a pretty good deal.

A pretty straight forward metroidvania-esk platformer , or rather straight down as you have to dig and drill your way downwards towards the end credits collecting gems, gear and upgrades along the way.

Nothing really stands out here but all was done well enough for me to be able to enjoy myself and plough through it in one sitting. If you take your time to collect and see everything you'll be spending roughly 8 hours in this game, which might not seem long but when taking in it's pricepoint (especially when on sale) feels fitting.

It's fun in co-up, but it's also very unstable and buggy as hell

Do I think Burnout Paradise is good? Honestly, no. At least not compared to previous installments.
So why still the thumbs up? Because there is still fun to be had wrecking through your opponents on your way to the finish line. It looks good, sounds good and feels good, and it won't cost you much, especially when it's on sale. It's pretty much the best choice on Steam when it comes down to destruction derby'esk arcade racers.

But personally I dislike the choice EA/Criterion made of turning Burnout in to an open world racer. Cruising around the city from event to event, stunting and crashing along the way, is one thing, I can live with that, but having you find your own way to the finish when starting an event having you pause the game at times to check the map if you're still going the right way takes away from what made the previous titles in this series so good. Split/Second probably has come closest to this but man do I miss Burnout 3. Those crash events, glorious. *sigh*

Though it is not Burnout, Split/Second does come close when it comes to fast paced mayhem and destruction.

Graphics hold up nicely and ultra wide resolutions are supported (though it's capped at 30fps), controls feel good and responsive, depending on the car you choose (though make sure you have a 360 controller at hand, otherwise you might need to do some tinkering to get it to work with some other controllers), and if you're with a friend you can either play together via LAN OR in splitscreen mode.

I'm not sure if it's worth it full price seeing as I bought it on sale, so i'll leave that up to you, but if it IS on sale and you're feeling a strong urge to mercilessly wreck opponents then you can't go wrong with this one.

Homefront is not one of the greatest shooters, but it also isn't bad, and it definitely doesn't deserve it's mostly negative status.
As a story driven first person shooter fan I enjoyed my short time with Homefront, and by short I mean just under 6 hours, but that didn't bother me that much. It's short and sweet. The gunplay is pretty straight forward yet satisfying, it's a bit rough around the edges but it looks and plays fine, the scenery is nice and varied, and though the storytelling is a bit bland the back story and premise of this title is probably the most interesting, If only they'd done more with it.

Full price is probably a bit much, but when on sale i'd definitely recommend this one.

Aesthetically a very PopCap style game which I don't really care for that much, but once you get in to this game you soon forget about the looks for the gameplay can be quite addicting, especially the quest mode.
