Im unusual gamer in the sense that I dislike Eternal. I purchased this title from sale and then shortly after ended up refunding the product... I assumed it is a great shooter but actually ammo is heavily limited, maximum ammo capacity for one gun is less than similar guns have in a single magazine in other games (example: LMG boasts max 60 ammo). There is ammo pickups and chainsaw that restore ammo but it is necessary to do far too often and gameplay devolves into just running away from enemies and looking for zombie pinatas to chainsaw for ammo.

Not recommending for folk who want to shoot ♥♥♥♥, this title restricts that a lot even though its a DOOM game, worse than DOOM 2016 imo.

The goal of Doom Eternal was to expand and improve on everything that players enjoyed in Doom 2016 as well as paying homage to earlier Doom games that long time fans will recognize.

While the story of Doom 2016 is different in its theme, Doom Eternal brings back some of the aspects from previous Doom games and nitro fuel it providing an in your face/ crank it to 11 atmosphere in its story-telling and character development.

The characters are way more personified and larger than life, finding a medium between the older arcade Doom titles and 2016's more gloomy take on the Doom Slayer and the creatures of hell.

We feel that the new movement implementation of double jumping and dashing allow for more unique ways to transverse the map and not resort to making all levels feel like a single note, which give life in its multi layered dynamic. This leads to new unique puzzles to discover how to reach your next checkpoint, as well as more places to find collectables that you can use to flaunt items in your ship or to unlock additional game options. This also results in new and unique types of puzzles in the game that will require good understanding of the level and character movement to complete.

Players need to adept to making quick decisions to adopt a strategy to succeed in becoming the Doom Slayer. Weapons have multiple upgrade options and your Doom Slayer has a abundance of other items he can use in battle as well such as the ice grenades and the glory kills. Not all weapons in DOOM Eternal work the same way for every enemy, and the combination of ammo management and your character's double dash movement are all at your disposal when deciding on your battle strategy against your enemies.

Honestly if the lack of ammo was your only issue you might consider trying it out again, ammo capacity can be increased with the upgrade system
